Had Yeonjun not known better, he would honestly think there was an actual object.

"Umm... a horse?" Yeonjun asked.

"Not quite!"

Beomgyu took a finger out, and then he saw it.

"Ohhh... a unicorn!"

"Yep!"

Beomgyu changed his fingers, making some kind of weird shape with his hands that had two pointed ears.

Yeonjun frowned as he tried to come up with something.

"Umm... donkey? No, bunny!"

"Not even close!"

"Argh!"

He thought harder.

"Uhhh... CAT! CAT CAT, RIGHT?!"

"Yep!"

"YAY!!"

Beomgyu reformed his hands, and now it was getting difficult. Cuz it didn't look like an animal, more like an object.

"Think harder!" Beomgyu urged.

"I'm trying!"

He thought long and hard, before realizing a possibility.

Is that food?

"A carrot!"

His eyes widened in delight.

"Yes!"

Feeling so accomplished, Yeonjun cheered loudly, the sound of it echoing against the walls of the mysterious cave.

"I am good at this, right?"

"I would agree."

"No roasting me?"

"Want that?"

"No."

Beomgyu chuckled.

"That's what I thought."

At that moment, the two noticed the light changing outside the cave.

Without another word, Yeonjun stood up and switched the flashlight off before taking Beomgyu's hand in his.

The two stepped out of the cave, looking at the view.

The day was clear, with a blue sky. Only a few puffy white clouds were seen in the blue, and of course, the sun shone brightly.

Yeonjun breathed in and out, feeling the warm rays on his skin. They were so gentle— some would find it weird to describe the forces of nature, but he just wanted to appreciate it.

After all, it's beautiful.

"The sun's nice, right?" Beomgyu asked.

"Indeed."

Yeonjun looked at him.

"But if that sun went out, I would at least have you," he grinned, another cheesy attempt at being flirtatious.

"We'd die if the sun went out."

"OH COME I WAS TRYING TO BE ROMANTIC!"

All Yeonjun got in return was Beomgyu laughing at him.

And with that laugh, he could never stay mad. Seeing him laugh and be happy was the one thing that mattered the most to him.

How lucky was he to know that it wasn't a movie where Yeonjun was plainly acting with someone, and that it was actually something real he was sharing with Beomgyu.

It was so perfect.

And he was savoring every single moment of it.

Everything was going so well, better than imagined, that neither of them notice that time was actually going so fast.

It was just a couple days after they officially became a couple when Yeonjun got a reminder message on his phone.

And after reading it, the happiness on his face fell just like that.

"What's wrong?" Beomgyu immediately asked.

They were currently sitting (cuddled up) in the living room, watching a movie together with some self made popcorn.

"Beomgyu..."

He grew worried, and grabbed his partner's hand when he noticed Yeonjun was slightly trembling.

"What is it, Yeonjun?"

The aforementioned took a deep breath.

"Beomgyu, please be prepared for what I'm gonna say... it may not be serious to other people, but for me... it's kind of a big deal."

"What?"

Yeonjun exhaled.

"I'm... I will be going back to Seoul soon. My time here has come to an end."

Beomgyu gasped.

"What?"

He solemnly nodded.

"The helicopter will come to pick me up... in two days."

"Two days?!"

"Yes... that's how fast time has gone by."

There was no time for Beomgyu to become sorrowful. Not when his eyes darted to a calendar hanging in the kitchen, seeing the date at the end of this week circled in black marker.

"Oh my... that means I will have to go soon too."

Solemn, they looked at each other.

I don't wanna leave was clearly written across their foreheads.

But alas, all good things come to an end eventually.
