And then Beomgyu heard sniffles.

Soobin had a tissue in his hands and was blowing his nose; he actually shed tears hearing Beomgyu say those words, not caring that some of his mascara was running.

["This is so heart-touching,"] he wept.

["Agreed. I just love love-at-first-sight,"] Kai agreed, fanning his eyes.

Beomgyu shook his head in discontent.

["You guys are such drama queens."]

"I know."

["But he loves Yeonjun more!"] Soobin giggled.

"CHOI SOOBIN!!"

Yeonjun's hand that previously wanted to knock on the door started falling down to his side as his heart did a flip or two.

He was about to let Beomgyu know he was back, but the words died in his mouth when his brain understood that the conversation was about him, and beyond just him.

The scientist was frozen from shock.

And he must have stood like an idiot by the door, because when it suddenly opened, Yeonjun jumped back so quickly he nearly hit his head on the ceiling.

"Yeonjun?" Beomgyu asked.

"O-Oh, hey!"

Yeonjun awkwardly waved, ready to smack his head again against the ceiling, this time on purpose.

"Umm, hey... how long were you standing there?"

The alarm was going off in his head.

What do I do what do I do what do I do what do I FUCKING DO?!!?

"Only a while."

But Yeonjun knew that Beomgyu wasn't dumb.

"Uh huh..."

Or maybe he was in the love department.

Hesitant, Beomgyu closed the door and slowly started slipping past the latter.

"I'm gonna go prepare some lunch."

"Do that," Yeonjun quickly said, avoiding to look in his direction.

As Yeonjun laid in bed that night, sleep didn't find him. His brain just couldn't allow his thoughts to have a freaking break.

Beomgyu... likes me?

It wasn't a complete surprise to Yeonjun, he's seen the signs.

Beomgyu easily getting flustered, him feeling shy about being naked around each other even though they were men, and how bodily contact seems to make him nervous— they all were clear indicators of a crush.

But at the same time, Yeonjun was unsure of it too.

Isn't this going way too fast? Should we even be doing this? We have only known each other for about two weeks or so, and we didn't have the best start. So would having romantic emotions be good? For both of us?

And there was only one way for Yeonjun to be able to find an answer.
