"Hello EErth, or Earth," he read on a piece of paper in his hand, and then threw it in the air, "ahh I don't really care how you say it."

He sat back in his chair, and cleared his throat, and after he had a devilish looking grin on his face before he spoke.

"I'm the superior, I'm YOUR savior, and the one and the only . . . Handsome Jack," the way he introduced himself sent a chill down my spine, every word echoed with his booming voice.

"Now you might be wondering, why's this guy here? No worries kiddos, I'm here to save you! From all the horror that is about to infiltrate your planet," he said second part under his breath.

"As CEO of Hyperion, I've decided to use your planet as a test subject for this new tech we've been working on," he says.

"Your civilization is actually pretty impressive, which will make it all the more fun to tear it down, but don't worry, Hyperion will build it back up...my way," he says as he rests his hands on his hands.

"Gosh you guys worship me too, I've seen the sexual art and stories you all right! Keep up the good work!" He gloated, and I wanted to laugh but was too skeptical of the situation.

"Shit! I've got to go-take over your planet and stuff, kill bandits, the usual," he took a breath and stood up throwing his hands in the air, "GOD it feels good to be back."

"Get used to seeing this face kiddos, and welcome to Pandora," he said and winked before the camera turned off.

Welcome to Pandora?

Suddenly the power surged back on, and I immediately turned on the TV and switched it to the news.

"-they're calling this the Cyber Scare, which is a well fitting name considering that the infiltrator has managed to broadcast this 'villain' all around the world," the reporter said.

"Yes it certainly has frazzled up the globe, this a major threat, government officials are not yet labeling it as a potential terrorist threat, but if things get more-"

And then suddenly there was a load sonic boom that made me instantaneously pass out.

I woke up, afraid to open my eyes, afraid to see where I was, I thought I might have been dead.

Am I covered in blood?

With my eyes closed, I felt legs and arms, checking for wounds, but everything was okay. Except for the bruise on my head and perhaps my elbows from my fall. My glasses went flying somewhere so I felt around for them blindly.

"Ahh there you are," I said as I grabbed them, and felt that the left lenses was cracked.

"Better than nothing."

I put them on and slowly opened my eyes, and nearly screamed. It turns out that I'm not the only one shocked, because there are a few screams outside my door.

Everything was different, everything was cell shaded, it was like living inside a comic book, but then I realized, we were living inside the game.

I stood up slowly and felt my couch, it was so peculiar, it feels as though I'm in a dream, but for some this is going to be a nightmare.

The screams and cries got louder outside my door so I ran to see the trouble. My neighbor's door was opened so I discreetly peaked through and was horrified. She was huddled over her husbands motionless body, crying with his head cradled in her lap.

"Why! Why!" She cried over and over.

I covered my mouth and gasped, but soon felt something hugging my leg. I looked down and it was Jessy, a 5 year old girl I babysit sometimes.
