Death Won't Do Us Part (RWBY x malereader, Ruby x malereader.)

Side Chapter (Canon): A Truth Unbearable.

"i'll fucking kill you." his wife then spoke.

Goodwitch had to get herself involved to make sure there legitimately wasn't a murder. but there was one variable people didn't know about. sure, what Cardin just said granted the ire and rage of the two grieving parents, but nobody knew of the recently aware 'bride; to that boy in other universes. and that made sense. nobody met (Y/n) other than his parents and Goodwitch. at least, in this world.

but now Ruby knew him. but most importantly? out of all of that? what she missed out on. what love and care she missed out on. what happiness she missed out on that the other Ruby's have or even had. she won't have that anymore. because the person she marries in every other universe died before they even met.

and Cardin just said that..he deserved it? he deserved to die? deserved to die? really? he just said that? he just....

"Ruby? are you okay?" Yang asked, watching as Ruby stared the cowering Cardin down with a burning passion. "hey, Ruby, can you hear me? heeelllooo?"

Ruby couldn't hear anything. nothing but that hushed whisper Cardin spoke a few moments ago. the cowering boy moving an inch arrow from the arrow and removing it from his chair.

nobody had time to react when Ruby suddenly leapt up  off her chair and clocked Cardin in the jaw with a semblance powered, so heavily speed boosted, punch.

now granted, Ruby wasn't really that strong normally. she can't fight without her weapon. she knows that, Yang knows that. so it should be easy for Yang to get Ruby off Cardin right?

especially as Ruby's currently trying to beat the ever loving shit out of him, constantly punching and kicking the cowering prick with a vengeance shared only with the parents, who inwardly rooted her on from within the confine of a bubble courtesy of Goodwitch.

oh right, and for the record...Goodwitch let this one slide. she didn't stop Ruby. in fact, for the first time ever. she wanted Ruby to beat the shit out of him too. she might not have heard what he said, but judging by how (Y/n)'s parents acted, it was really, REALLY bad.

it took at least 10 people to get her off Cardin after that.

----a good few hours later.-----

"why did you do that!?" Yang asked, standing opposite a sitting Ruby who had her arms crossed.

Ruby sat on the floor of her team's dorm, turning away from Yang with a huff as the sister sighed loudly. Blake and Weiss were also in the room, also curious as to why Ruby suddenly attacked Cardin like that. but no matter how much they've asked, Ruby didn't respond.

"he deserved it." that's thew only time she's spoken since.

"you sent him to the infirmary!"

"he'd be better dead!"

"RUBY!"

Ruby then left the conversation again, not listening as Yang tried so hard to make her understand that she shouldn't do that. Ruby did not care. Cardin deserved it. and that's all that matters. hell, his parents agreed, they straight up thanked her for what she did to Cardin and she took it with pride!

"i'm going sleep."

"Ruby i will tell dad and uncle Qrow!"

"then tell them! see if i care!"

so this is the CANON timeline of RWBY. yes, that's right, i haven't done the 'he just didn't exist' route. no, he straight up fucking DIED.

1. don't worry. even in death, (Y/n) is with the Rose family. Summer has stayed with him after death.

2. the two ghosts hover around Ruby or (Y?n)'s parents.

3. Ruby is heartbroken.

4. (Y/n)'s parents would have actually killed him.

5. Ruby would have killed him if everyone else didn't jump into get her off him.

6.Nora may or not have...broken Cardin's leg....for good measure... and no it was not an accident. she knew what she was doing.

7. Velvet actually felt pleased when she heard what happened to him.

8. the student that asked the question felt so guilty.

9. the dove and black ribbon were actually plot points alluding to (Y/n) being dead.
