you removed the hand from your face and took another glance.
flour was all over the floor, pots and pans all over the floor as well.
like a minefield.
you left them for a minute.
how...how did they mess up so badly in less than 60 seconds!?
'IT WAS PANCAKES! NOT ROCKET SCIENCE!?'
they could tell through your expression alone what you were thinking.
"it was my first time making them pal."
you blinked.

so you did, searching around the kitchen and basically ordering the other two to get to work.
"sorry (y/n). it was all my fault." one spoke, as he moved up to you.
"out of everything i expected you were able to cook."
"yeah..sorry."
you silently sighed.
"Jaune, just get cleaning alright?"
he nodded his head and left you.
'they didn't even get to the part where they had to cook it...they were still mixing!?'

'wait, if they were mixing doesn't that mean there's water on the flo-'
you didn't even manage to finish your thoughts when you slipped, slamming the back of your head on the edge of the counter.
noticing what happened, Jaune and Onyx moved over and watched as you curled up into a ball, holding the back of your head in pain.
"are you alright!?"
you just sat there and did nothing.
thank god your aura was up otherwise you'd be unconscious. maybe even lose something important...
'i wanna go see Ruby.'
"uh...what happened in here?"
a new voice emerged.
"well you see Alice-"
"and why is (y/n) like that?"

"did you do something?"

"yes ma'am...."
the two boys left, leaving just you and Alice in the room.
