you sat alone in your dorm room. once more, your team was out, no doubt preparing for the upcoming mission you go onto tomorrow.
unlike them, you were already prepared, so you instead spent this time relaxing.
and by relaxing, you mean going over some papers you have as homework, and from time to time looking at the picture to your left.
it was the one of the wedding, you got a replacement within a day after Onyx smashed it.
due to the fact Ruby was out on her mission, her homework was left to decay, so instead you, as a good husband, took that burden onto yourself.
i mean you help her with her homework anyway, granted you help teach her how to solve it, but you would ne lying if sometimes you outright gave her the answer to some things because you found her pleading face to cute too deny.
and in return, she gives you the best cuddles and snuggles alongside the best petting ever. so it's a major win-win on both side. Ruby learns how to do her homework whilst you receive love and attention.
it was a natural thing for a fox faunus. you love attention by your loved ones. in fact, even as a baby your mother showered you with it, often curling her tail around you as you slept or hugging you for around 8 hours a day.
so your natural need for love and care is all but satisfied with Ruby. she's quite literally the perfect partner in your eyes. she loves your fluffiness so it's quite common for her to just pick up your tail and snuggle into it or run your hand through it.
in fact, she often does that in lesson. so much so she often gets caught doing so. although Oobleck often ignores it because it actually makes her pay attention. professor port just...doesn't care. and professor peach just finds it cute. Ms. Goodwitch is the only teacher who reprimands her.
at the current moment, the homework was of history, and Ruby's attempt at figuring it out was....well, it was good, don't get me wrong. problem is it's the wrong goddamn topic she written for. if it was for the topic the homework was on, she'd at least get a 70%, but this is anything but that topic.
luckily she's written in pencil so you can rub it out...
so you did just that, using your rubber to erase everything she's written.
'she has cute handwriting.' you observed as you erased it, instead writing the correct answer.
thing is, you're so used to her handwriting you can mimic it perfectly, to the absolute tea. and you have done it before for her homework, although you didn't make it so she got full marks, as that would cause the teachers to be a little suspicious about the fact she goes from a 60% straight to a 100% then back down to 65% for example.
never the less, you were quite literately about to forge her homework for her, aren't you just the greatest husband?
your tail swayed from side to side as you anticipated the snuggles and headpats you'd receive from her. it was a though of pure bliss.
if you could, you'd be humming to yourself, but obviously you weren't able to, so you decided on the next best thing. music! you loved music, and Ruby loved music. she definitely loved it alot more because you can play the piano. in fact, many a times had she dragged you to the music room just to listen you play the piano. although there was one fond memory you had that was held in a much higher regard.
two years ago, before the both of you got engaged, Ruby had told you that she was going to get you a piano for your birthday. obviously she was unable to, she didn't have even a quarter of the Lien required, and her father couldn't exactly fork out the Lien considering he had to supply 3 people and a dog.
