The Super Resolution

(Okay! Round 2!)

Third Person P.O.V.

The last piece of the planet remains floating above the core as Dark Gaia's power spreads all over the rest of the world, engulfing it in a purple mist. Everyone look at the purple cloud in confusion, worry and fear. Knowing that it is not good.

Amy runs through the streets of Shamar then stops to look at the darkening area because of the purple cloud . "Wh-What's happening? It was broad daylight a minute ago!" She says in worry. Prof. Pickle catches up with her and takes a moment to catch his breath, "Dark Gaia has regained its true power. The beast is complete. It's just as the Gaia Manuscripts foretold. 'And the world shall be plunged into the dark of night, the dark of destruction.'" He says, recounting the manuscripts. He falls onto his knees, "Oh, that it should come to this. We're doomed. The planet is lost!" He says in defeat.

However, Amy shakes her head, "That WON'T happen!  There's no way Sonic or (Y/N) will let it end like this!" She states wholeheartedly. She looks at the sky as she holds hope, and faith in her friends. (That's a good friend to right there. 🩷🌹)

Sonic's P.O.V.

It ain't over yet. Dark Gaia's roars and I watch as its whole mouth opens. It sprouts four more arums then more eyes reveal themselves and one big one in the middle. "Okay, I am going to be sick." I hear (Y/N) groans. (Same. 🤢) I look at her and take her hand, she looks at me, "It's time. Want to join me?" I ask her. Her eyes widen then she narrows them and nods her head. We face Dark Gaia as we call upon the Chaos Emeralds.

We float together in the air and I close my eyes as I feel the power of the emeralds. "Let's do it!" I state. I feel the surge and we both become super. I look over at (Y/N) to see her with a light yellow hue and her eyes glowing a fierce red which flickers like a flame. (Didn't expect to go super too, did ya? 💛 😏) She looks at me, "Time to end this." She smirks. I give her a smirk back then we fly off. It's time for this nightmare to end. Permanently.

Third Person P.O.V.

Perfect Dark Gaia roars as they summon snake-like creatures to create a barrier around them. "All right, Chip! Time for the big finish!" Sonic exclaims. "We'll take out the shield, you deliver the hits!" (Y/N) adds. "Sonic...! (Y/N)...!" Chip says to them then focuses on Dark Gaia. The super hedgehogs avoid the rocks flying at them as Chip flies beside them.

They all make it to the shield, "My turn, guys!" Chip states. "H-Hey! What're you doing, Chip?!?" Sonic cries, then watched as Chip tears his way through the shield. "Chip, I... You were... Wow!" Sonic breathes out in amazement. "That little guy is just filled with surprises!" (Y/N) smiles in pride at she friend. (He ain't so little anymore~) "I'll get their attention, you guys do something about the shield!" Chip tells them, he starts punching Dark Gaia to keep their attention on him. "Got it! Come on, Sonic! Time to do some weed whacking!" (Y/N) states.

Sonic nods and the two separate as they deal with the purple snake creatures. Sonic would charge and hit the creatures head on while (Y/N) took out her blades which are now golden and emitting gold dust as she strikes them at the creatures. They would fly all along the shield and take out the snakes. One had attempted to bite at Sonic, but he moves back and swings his hand back then holds it out with his palm open and fire a golden beam. The creature hisses then disappears and he flies off to deal with more. "You did it, Sonic!" Chip cheers, but Dark Gaia took their chance and slices at Chip with their claws.

Chip cries out from the impact, making (Y/N) angry. "Oh, you asked for this." She states lowly. (She mad.) She holds out her blades at her sides and they elongate into giant ones. She lets out a battle cry as she flies at snake heads and swings her blades, slicing off their heads in one go. Dark Gaia roars and sends our lava balls at them. The two supers notice and (Y/N) shrinks her blades back to their regular size as she narrowly avoids the lava balls. Sonic takes out more snakes and Dark Gaia fires a beam at him. He flies quickly to avoid it but as it closes in on him, (Y/N) strikes the last snake head.

Dark Gaia ceases their firing as the shield falls. "Yes, the shields gone!" Sonic smiles at that. "Way to go, guys!" Chip says to them. But then grunts as Dark Gaia grabs onto him and charges a blast. "Chip!" The two cry out. "Be right there!" Sonic states. He and (Y/N) fly at the two then aim at Dark Gaia's hands. The two collide into them and one by one Dark Gaia let go. The two charge at the final hand and once they hit it, they flew back as Chip is released and floats back but Dark Gaia fires a massive beam at him. (Uh-Oh.)

Chip quickly holds up his arms to defend himself. "Come on, Chip! You GOT this!" (Y/N) cheers him on. Chip braces himself and the beam hits, but he manages to hold out. The beam disappears and he immediately moves in to land a hard blow on Dark Gaia. (BOOM!) The ancient dark god roars from the impact and Sonic moves with (Y/N) beside him. "We've got this one covered!" He states. Together they fly directly at Dark Gaia who holds up their hands to shield themself. However, it does nothing as Sonic charges on and (Y/N) takes out her blades and holds them in front of her as she spins rapidly. Sonic joins her as he presses his back against her and holds up his arm as golden blades appear on his fists.

With a sonic boom, the two fly directly into Dark Gaia's middle eye and exit out of the back their head then fly up and look down at the dark god. Dark Gaia shrieks as they fall, green ooze spilling from them as they land in the lava and sink into it. Defeated. (Back to their slumber.)

Sonic and (Y/N) looked at where Dark Gaia was for a moment longer in case they emerged, but they did not. Sonic slowly raises his hand to give a thumbs up, but exhaustion finally hits him and he reverts to normal. He falls towards the lava as he passes out. "SONIC!!!" (Y/N) cries out and dives at him. She catches Sonic and holds him close and Chip holds up a hand for them to land on. Once (Y/N) settles herself and Sonic, she reverts to normal as well. She looks down at Sonic and cups the side of his face as he is out cold.

She sighs as holds him in her lap, "It's over, Blue. We did it." She says gently. Chip looks at them as he is glad they are safe. And that his job is done.
