A Break and Sudden Appearance

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

We left the temple and are back at the village. "Way to go, guys. Let's head back to Spagonia and inform the professor." Tails says. "Then let's fly!" I state. We all board the Tornado and head off to Spagonia. Once we arrived, we went to tell Prof. Pickle, but he wasn't in his office. "Huh. Looks like he's not here. How about we try again at night?" Chip says. "I don't mind getting my steps in." Sonic says. I roll my eyes with a smirk, "Since when are you not getting your steps in?" I tell him, looking at him with crossed arms. Sonic looks at me with a smirk of his own, placing a hand on his hip as he leans his face towards mine. "How about right now? As we talk?" He responds. I lean towards him, "Must you always win?" I ask. "Well, my streak is pretty long." He adds. (Oooh~ Chemistry~)

I stare into his emerald green eyes as he stares back at me. "So, how about some food? I'm starving." I blink and look to see Chip and Tails staring at us. Oh. We weren't alone. I look away as I blush a little and brush back a quill. "Uh, right. I could eat." I reply. "Well, I-I'll stay here and wait for the professor." Tails says. "Alright, let's go see what else Spagonia has for us." Sonic says. "Yeah! Let's go!" Chip says as he lands on my head. I give him a smile as I look up at him, "And get us a meal!" I add, cheering down the stairs. "Woo-Hoo!" Chip and I cheer.

Third Person P.O.V.

Sonic, (Y/N) and Chip explored more of the streets of Spagonia. Sonic watches with a fond smile as (Y/N) walks in front of him as well as conversing with Chip. The little fairy flies around her head then flies back to Sonic and grabs his hand to pull him to walk with (Y/N). Sonic looks over and finds (Y/N) looking at him with a smile, her (E/C) eyes shining from the light of the sun. Sonic feels his breath be taken for a moment but then grunts as Chip pulls him along. (Y/N) laughs from his reaction as she jogs to catch up.

They end up at a restaurant and the gang sat at a table as they eat. (Y/N) moans in delight from the taste of (F/F) and Sonic, having finished his meal, hands her a napkin, "Need a wipe?" He asks. (Y/N) gives him a blank look then snatches the napkin from him. "Thanks for the offer." She says with a sweet smile, wiping at her mouth. Sonic shrugs a shoulder then pokes at Chip's protruding stomach as the little guy lays on the table in a daze after eating a large sandwich.

Soon the sun had set as night starts and Sonic transforms into the Werehog. The three walk the streets as they make their way to the university. "Found you, Sonic!" A voice exclaims, then the owner of it appears and jumps Sonic, hugging him tightly. "Oooh, Sonic! I've been looking for you for-EVER!" It is a pink hedgehog in a red dress. "Amy?" (Y/N) says, surprised. Though, Amy does not notice or hear her as she has her eyes closed and cuddles up to Sonic. "H-Hey, lemme go!" Sonic says, trying to slip out of Amy's grip. "Heh, heh, you're crazy if you think you can get away from Amy Rose, and... Ummm..." Amy trials off, opening her eyes as she then looks at Sonic, only to step back as she does not recognize him.

"Who are you?" She asks. "Oh my gosh, I'm SO sorry! I just completely mistook you for someone else!" She apologizes, pushing back a little too hard and (Y/N) hold up her hands to catch him and rights him up. Amy turns away from them as she holds her hands behind her back, "That is SO strange. I could have SWORN it was him." Amy says out loud. While behind her, Sonic shares a look with Chip and (Y/N). The (H/C) just shrugs her shoulders and Chip copies her as he does not know what is happening. "Anyway, I'm REALLY sorry. See ya later!" Amy says then runs off. Sonic reaches out a hand to her, but does not go after her. (Uuuuhhhhh....)

(Y/N) watches Amy go and sighs as she places a hand on her hip and forehead, "That girl..." She mutters. (Tell me about it. 😮‍💨) Chip flutters his wings as he flies, looking at the direction Amy ran off in. "Well, THAT was weird. How come that girl didn't know you were you, Sonic?" Chip asks. "I mean, I guess you ARE kinda..." He flies higher to empathize Sonic's taller form, "... And, uh, these guys." He flies to him and shows fangs. Sonic sighs then walks on with a downed spirit, facing the ground. (Y/N) lowers her hands and frowns in sympathy as she watches him walk on. "Oh, ah... I mean... D-D-Don't worry! Hey! You only LOOK really scary, Sonic." Chip says quickly as he tries to cheer Sonic up.

He flies after him while (Y/N) follows from a distance. "Inside, you're the same as ever. I guarantee it! Okay? Soniiic! Cheer up! Uhh... Chocolate! Want some chocolate?" Chip offers, but Sonic walks pass him as he ignores his offer. Chip frowns at seeing his friend in such a state then flies over to (Y/N), "Can you cheer him up?" He asks her. (Y/N) sighs, "I have known him for a long time, Chip, but I have never seen him like this." She says. She looks at Sonic to still see him looking down at the ground. She has always seen Sonic be so confident and optimistic, but even it appears him being the Werehog is making him self-conscious.

She looks to see Chip fiddle with his hands then holds him in her hands and cradles him close, "Let's give him some space. I'll talk to him once he isn't being a stubborn hog." She tells him. Chip nods his head in agreement then (Y/N) continue following Sonic while also giving him his space.
