Nightly Encounter

Third Person P.O.V.

The three make their down the path Tails took and come upon a gate. Sonic then heard his friend, he was far and he sounded scared. This triggers something in him as he lets out a short roar, reel his fist back and deliver a punch. His arm stretches as he destroys the gates. (Y/N) became wide-eyed from the display of strength. "Whoa." She breathes out. "Wow, Sonic! You are really strong." Chip cheers as he pumps his fists in the air. (Y/N) shakes her head as she zips up her jacket. "Well, let's get going!" She says, she runs down the path with Chip flying after her and Sonic following on all fours.

However, (Y/N) stops upon seeing some odd glowing, green creatures emitting smoke appear in the path. "Wha-?! What are those-Mmf!" She claps her hand on Chip's mouth but the creature woke up. (Oop-! We caught! 😲) She removes her hands off him as she takes out her staff and extends it, but Sonic charges forward and slashes the creatures with his sharp claws. (Y/N) watches as he fights, he could not move as fast as the Werehog but he was stronger and fiercer. She then sees one of those creatures jump at her and she spins her staff then whacks the creature. It rolls on the ground and it roars at her as he jumps at her again. She puts away her staff and takes out her blades and slashes at it. The creature falls to the ground grunting before vanishing.

After all of them were dealt with, the three continue on. Sonic smashed some more gates for them to pass, but then enter an area with more of those creature and now there are larger ones on two feet: they have a blue tone with having a horn protruding from their heads. (Y/N) holds her blades ready, but Sonic grabs her by her waist as he holds her close to his chest and growls threateningly at the creatures. (Y/N) blushes from that but focuses, "Sonic?" She says. Sonic realizes what he did and lets her go. "You take the little guys, I got the big ones." He says. (Y/N) nods then runs at the small creature while Chip flies to a safe place and watches. The (H/C) hedgehog dodges the green creature when they would jump at her and when she sees an opening, she swings her blades at them. Sonic uses his stretching ability to deliver some swipes of his claws and hard punches at the big blue ones. He even grabs one with both of his hands and lifts it up into the air before jumping, spinning and throwing it down onto the ground. He huffs as the last blue one vanishes then looks to see (Y/N) stab the last green one, it vanishing shortly after.

Chip appears after and the three charge on. They battle more of those dark glowing creature along with dealing with some of Eggman's robots. They even did some parkour along with having to open doorways which thanks to Sonic's strength is no problem. The three soon run up to a circular structure. "Help!" Tails cries out from the other side of the gate. "Tails!" (Y/N) cries out in worry. Sonic wastes no time and grabs the lever, pulling it to open the gate. But upon doing so, the area within is filled with those glowing creatures, big and small along with a towering, hulking figure wielding a faint club. "Oh, chaos." (Y/N) mutters. (Here we go!)

Chip flies to safety while Sonic and (Y/N) charge forward to fight. (Y/N) puts away her blades as she equips her staff, Sonic charges at the big figure. He delivers a slash attack but the hulking figure looks down at him and swings its club at him, sending him into a wall. "Sonic!" (Y/N) cries out, "Duah!" She grunts as she gets jumped by multiple small creature. One bites her shoulder and she yells in pain, "That's it!" She stands up, sending the creatures back. She starts whacking at any that came near then jumps when she looks back at one of those horned creatures charging at her. Sonic recovers and sees (Y/N) riding on one of the horned creatures. He pushes himself up and charges at the hulking figure. (Yeeee-Haw!)

It raises its club to swing down, "Not this time." Sonic says, reaching out and grabbing a small creature and tosses it at the hulking figure. It hits it in the face and it roars in anger but once he got rid of it, Sonic jump and grabs onto the side of its head then stretches his arms as he moves back then pulls himself forward, landing his spike shoes directly on the creatures face. It roars painfully the grabs Sonic and throws him off. The Werehog slides across the ground and gets up, but then the creature pounds the ground with his fist and this sends out a purple wave of energy. Knocking back the other creature, including (Y/N) as she is sent flying off the horned creature. "Aaaaah!" Sonic moves and catches her in his arms. "You okay?" He asks her. She pants, "I will be once the raging pink-marked ugly hulk is down." She replies.

Sonic places her on her feet. "Wait," He looks back at her, "I have an idea." She says. She quickly whispers it to Sonic and he nods his head. He grabs her by the waist the spins around to build momentum. "Hrrrrr-Rah!" He shouts as he stops and lets go of (Y/N), tossing her at the monster. The creature swings its club at her, but she quickly spins in the air to avoid it then grabs and plants her feet on it. She pushes herself forward and thrusts her staff forward, stabbing it in the creature's eye. (Oh! That's gotta hurt. 😖) It roars in pain and (Y/N) jumps off it as Sonic appear behind it, grabbing the creature by the waist and lets out a roar as he lifts it up. "Raaaaah!" He shouts, leaning back and slams the creature onto the ground. (German Suplex-O!) Sonic lets go of it and rights himself up as the hulking figure falls limp and vanishes.

(Y/N) hisses in pain, putting away her staff as she looks at her shoulder. She unzips her jacket and takes it off to examine her shoulder better. A bite mark in view but not deep enough to draw blood. "(Y/N)," She sees Sonic walk over to her, he sees bite mark and holds her arms as he leans closer to it. (Y/N) blushes from the close proximity, "I-It's fine. One of those things bit me, but it's not bleeding so all go-OOOD?!?" She squeals as she felt a tongue lick her. (Ooooh~) Sonic focuses on ensuring the bite won't become infected, not noticing the massive blush on (Y/N)'s face. He pulls away once he deemed his work done, "How's that?" He asks her. (Y/N) was frozen as she still reels in from what happened, "(Y/N)?" Sonic calls out to her gently.

Chip flies over and picks up her jacket, "(Y/N), are you okay?" He asks, poking her cheek. Which snaps her out of her frozen state. "Yes! I-I mean, yes. Thanks for that, Blue." She says. Chip gives her her jacket and she ties it around her waist.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

Okay, that was... something. "Hey, Tails." Shoot, right! Tails. "Sonic?" I look to see Tails from behind a wall right as the moon shines down on us and Sonic turns around to face him. "What are you doing out here?" Sonic asks. "Sonic... is that really you?" Tails asks, flying over to us. And I don't blame him for asking if Sonic is Sonic, I didn't recognize him at first either. But he's handling it better than me. (Flashback to when she pushed him off her.) "That's a new look. What happened?" He asks Sonic. "You know me. Never a dull moment." Sonic replies. I roll my eyes, "That's putting it mildly." I comment, then poke his chest.

"Also, nice to see ya, Tails." I greet. "Hey, (Y/N)." He waves at me. Chip then lands on the ground, "Want some chocolate?" And takes out a bar of chocolate. Wait a minute... "Chip... how long have you had that?" I question him. (Seriously, how long?) "Uh, thanks." Oh, right. I clear my throat, "Chip, meet Tails. Tails, this is Chip. We met him this morning and have been trying to help him get his memory back." I introduce them. "Okay. So, what's happened?" He asks. I inhale deeply then sigh heavily, "Walk and talk?" I proposed.

And so, we walk pass windmills as Sonic informs Tails about what has happened. "That's some story. I'll bet that means you turning into... that... and the planet breaking apart are somehow related." Tails says. "Along with those weird, glowing, pink-marked, stretchy creatures. We've never came upon those things before." I add. "I need to find Eggman and make him fix this, and FAST!" Sonic says. I stop walking and grab his arm, getting him to stop, "Whoa! Slow down, Fluffy. I want to get some hits on that mustached rotten egg too, but we need to know what exactly is going on." I state.

"And about that, I think I know someone who might know about what's going on here." Tails says. We both look at him when said that. "Oh, really?" Sonic asks him. "Professor Pickle, over at Spagonia University. I came to this city to gather some data. If we add that to his research findings, we might be able to get to the bottom of all this." He explains, then hurries off. "A professor, huh? And a friend of Tails. I'm already confident in this." I state, smiling as I lay hand on my hip while still holding Sonic's arm. "Spagonia? That's a continent over." Sonic says, then starts walking and I walk with him. "An easy jog, if the planet weren't broken." He says. "Well, no offense, but you're not built for speed in this form, Fuzzy." I state.

"No problem. My Tornado-1 will get us there in a flash. Let's get going!" Tails says. Oh, hey we were walking to his plane. Sweet. "Leave it to you, Tails. Let's get moving!" Sonic says. I let go of him as we all get comfy. Tails sits in the front, as the pilot he is, and I sit behind him while Sonic takes the standing station and holds onto the handles. Chip sits in my lap and I hold onto him as Tails revs up the engine. "Next stop: Spagonia University!" I declare. And with that, we take off into the sky. (Adventure!)
