Hustling and Bustling

(Next chapter up! Taking on the Big City again!)

Third Person P.O.V.

After getting some drinks and snacks, Tails' Miles Electric beeps and he takes it out, answering it to see Prof. Pickle, "Hello, Prof. we got another key." Tails says, holding said item for Prof. Pickle to see. "Wonderful! Just another and you will access the temple in Adabat." Prof. Pickle cheers and claps his hands together. (Y/N) leans over, "Yeah, we're just taking a break." She says, holding up her coconut drink and Chip flies by with having a coconut stuck on his face. (Pfft-! 🤭)

"Ho, ho. That's good to see. But I'm afraid it has come to an end for Eggman has some of his bots causing trouble in Empire City. Best get that dealt with." Prof. Pickle says. Sonic holds onto Chip as he pulls on the coconut and pops it off the little guy's face. "Can't let Eggman think we're getting lazy. Let's fly!" He says. "Yeah!" Chip, (Y/N) and Tails cheer. (Yeah! ✊)

They board the Tornado and head to Empire City. The sky switches to day as Sonic changes back to normal, and Tails lands the plane near the fountain. They hop off and (Y/N) stretches a little, "I'll tell you, once this is over, I'm gonna need me a long, HOT, bath with bubbles." (🛁) She groans as she stretches her hands above her head. Sonic stands beside her, "Maybe I can join~?" He says in a low, husky tone. (Y/N)'s face becomes cherry red and she punches Sonic away. "OH!" Chip winces at that and flies over to check on Sonic as the blue hedgehog lays on his back with a dazed face. (That hedgehog, I tell ya. 😒)

Tails sighs as he shakes his head at his brother-figure's antic. (Y/N) pats her face to calm herself down while her heart beats a million miles per second. "SO-! A-Hem! Tails, robots? Where?" She asks the two-tail fox. Tails uses his pad and beeping is heard. "Just that way. You'll have to take the highways if you want to make it there fast." He informs. "All right! Blue, let's go!" (Y/N) says, but then groans as Sonic is still on his back with Chip trying to pull him up. She sighs and walks over, grabs Sonic by his shoulders and effortlessly pick him up and set him on his feet. (She strong. 💪) Sonic shakes his head and puts on a look of confidence. "Right! Let's run!" He picks up (Y/N) and speeds off. "Hey! Wait up!" Chip flies after them.

Sonic makes his way onto a ride and boosts down it. He drifts sharp turns and (Y/N) takes out her staff to whack away objects in their way. They take to the air and separate as Sonic spin dashes Bat-Bots and (Y/N) whacks them with her staff. The two land on rails and grind down them as they continue into the city. They meet up and run into tunnels but had to watch out for mines. Sonic grabs (Y/N) as he scales up skyscrapers and came upon bots which the two took out in seconds.

(Y/N) back flips to avoid a missile and throws one of her blades as it stabs into a bot. It sparks and malfunctions as it wildly fires a missile. The bot explodes and (Y/N) catches her blade as she puts them away and runs, waits then hops onto the missile. "Woo-Hoo!" She cheers as she rides it. (YEE-HAW!) Sonic stands on one bot's head and he looks down at it with a grin, another sneaking up behind him and raises its arm but Sonic jumps off and the bot hits the other. It sparks before exploding and Sonic is in the air, laughing at that. "Hey, Blue!" He looks to see (Y/N) riding a missile.

He smiles and holds up his hand, (Y/N) grabs it and then hops off the missile while also pushing it down. The bot looks up only to end up getting hit with the missile as it creates an explosion. The force pushing (Y/N) and Sonic higher into the air and the two laugh as they free fall. They hold hands and Sonic could not help but smile as (Y/N) laughs, her eyes closed and her (H/C) quills being blown up as they fall. (How romantic~ 🥰)

He looks down and brings her in close to hold her as he lands and runs off. He soon comes upon a massive bridge, but a large bot with arms appears. (Y/N) groans as she looks at it, "Oh, great. Another one of these?" She complains. "Just aim for the eye." Sonic tells her.

(Y/N)'s P.O.V.

Well, this thing has got a swinging hook. But it was still no match for us as while Sonic dodges mines and I helped him dodged lasers, I waited... It's charging. Bingo! I jump, take out my staff, and let out a battle cry as I stab it right in the eye. It sparks but does not go down as it tries to grab me. I avoid it but my ears flicker and I look to see those box drones appear. Seriously? I roll my eyes and take out my staff as I whack the bot's hands away. "Hey, (Y/N)!" I look back at Sonic as he runs backwards. "JUMP!" He shouts then stops. I jump off the bot and watch as it flies on, Sonic sliding underneath it and it rams right into the other drones. A massive explosion happens. "Oof!" I get caught and see Sonic with a smirk, "Nice of you to drop in." He quips. I roll my eyes, "Sometimes your lines are so cheesy that I can smell them." I reply. (🧀) He chuckles then races off.

So, some more rail grinding, scaling scrapers and bashing bots, we make it to this moving artwork and finally completed cleaning this city. "Whew! They say the city never sleeps, and now I understand why." I comment. "Yep. Come on, let's meet back at the fountain." Sonic holds his hand up and I smile as we high-five. "Perfect!" I look to see Chip appear as he holds the camera. "I got a lot of pictures! All of them are super AWESOME!" He says. Sonic and (Y/N) smile at his energy. (He's so cute. 😊)

They make their way back to the fountain and a man at a hot dog stand waves them over. "Needing something to eat? Look no further than the best dogs in the city!" He says. "Best dogs, huh? Let's find out." Sonic says. I roll my eyes but smile, "You and chili-dogs. I wonder if they are your true love." I tease him. (Indeed. One wonders~) "Chili-dog?" Chip asks. "Trust me, it will blow your tastebuds away." Sonic says.

So, we all got some chili-dogs and watch as Chip takes a bite, and has the biggest smile appear on his face. He's so cute! "WOW! This is delicious!" He says. "If you say so." I respond then take a bite of my own. "Mmmm~" Wow. These are the best dogs in the city. I feel a thumb swipe my face and look to see Sonic with a smirk. I watch as he licks his finger that had he used to wipe some chili off me. Oh, that sneaky hedgehog. (She's blushing. 😏) "What?" He says. "Nothing." I roll my eyes and eat the rest of my chili-dog.

"Hey, guys!" I see Tails flying over and lands in front of us, "What is it, buddy?" Sonic asks him. "Just got word from the professor that Adabat has some robotic trouble of its own. Not only that, we still have to find the second half of the key for the temple there." He explains, holding the first half of the key. Chip flies over and takes it from him, "Then we better go there and kick some robo-butt!" He says. "Yeah! More bashing!" I cheer, sharing a high-five with him. (Woo!)
