Smackdown and Restoration

(Boom! Another chapter. On to the third temple!)

Third Person P.O.V.

After getting (Y/N)'s injury treated and wrapped up along with having some dumplings, the team make their way back to Spagonia. They arrived at the university and meet with Amy, "Hey, guys!" She waves at them. "Hey, Amy!" (Y/N) greets back. "You know, I can't help but notice how casual everyone is with the whole world being broken apart. They better throw a party for you guys once this is over!" She states. (I like parties.) Sonic smiles as he shakes his head, "Hey, it's not so bad. Besides, we're fixing things up and it'll be over soon." He says. Amy smiles while shaking her head, "Well, I wish you luck!" She says. "Thanks, Miss Amy. We got this!" Chip says as he gives her a thumbs up.

The three meet with Prof. Pickle. "Ah, just who I wanted to see. I have been doing research on the keys you have found and discovered that the two you have found in Spagonia are actually one key." He explains. "Ooooooh~" Chip says. "So does that mean we can access the temple here?" (Y/N) asks. "Indeed. Just find it, use the keys and restore a Chaos Emerald." Prof. Pickle says as he hands her the two keys. (Y/N) takes them and she, Sonic and Chip nod their heads as they then hurry off.

However, while they were on their way to the Temple, a large fish-like robot appears. The team look to find it piloted by three bots. It moves to face them as it flies backwards and laser contraptions appear beside it. "Of course, Eggman had to make things difficult." (Y/N) comments. "No matter. Let's fry this fish!" Sonic says. The battle begins as lasers charge up and the two jump to avoid them. They land safely and Sonic charges at the bot, but its shield protected it. It then moves and orders the lasers to act as blocks for the hedgehogs. (Y/N) jumps and stabs her blades in them, doing damage and Sonic charges at the bot and lands some damage as the shield down.

The bot backs away from them and shot orbs at them which they dodge and Sonic dashes at it again and lands more damage. They continue one for a while and the bot is now smoking from all the damage it took. It activates the lasers and combines them together to blast at the hedgehogs. "Sonic, now!" (Y/N) equips her staff and Sonic grabs an end of it. (Y/N) jumps, spins for a moment then lands, plants her feet on the ground and swings her staff forward to launch Sonic and he spin dashes into bot. It gets sent back then overloads and explodes. (Yeah! Teamwork!) "Not a bad toy, but playtime's over!" Sonic says, screeching to a stop. (Y/N) meets with him and the two share a high five. Chip snaps a picture of their victory then flies over to meet with them.

"Way to go!" He tells them. Sonic gives him a thumbs up and (Y/N) gives him a pat on the head. But then a red glow emits from her and she takes out the keys to reveal them glowing. She then combines them and they become one. She looks at Sonic and Chip and they nod their head. The three run off and soon arrive at the Temple of Gaia. The key floats out of (Y/N)'s hand then glows brightly it disappears and gates open. "Let's go." (Y/N) says, the three running into the temple.

Sonic's P.O.V.

We soon make it to the altar and Chip activates it, the pedestal rises. He and (Y/N) look at me and I take out another emerald, placing it in the hole. A beam of light appears and the emerald floats up. It spins then glows brightly, the Blue Chaos Emerald is back to normal. Then the place shakes, "I hate this part!" (Y/N) complains and I wrap an arm around her waist to pull her close. (I hate it too.) It then stops and I sigh in relief. "Well, looks like another piece restored." I say. "Yeah! Come on! Let's go celebrate with some tasty treats!" Chip says. (Treats! 😃) He flies off and me and (Y/N) follow after him.

We exit the temple and I look to see (Y/N) crossing her arms and look up at the sky. I tilt my head at seeing her frowning. "Hey, what's wrong?" I ask her. She looks at me, her (E/C) eyes shining a little. "Well, we haven't seen Eggman for a while. And knowing him, he's building something big." She says. I nod my head in agreement then wrap my arm around her shoulders, "Don't worry about it. We'll deal with him when we deal with him. Now let's go refuel." I tell her. She smiles and I smile at that. "Yeah. I'm craving something sweet." She says.

"Come on! Let's go!" Chip appears and grabs (Y/N)'s hand, dragging her along. (Like a child~ ☺️) "Okay, okay! Come on, Blue." She laughs and I chuckle a little. I pick her up and hold her bridal style while she holds onto Chip. "Here we go!" I shout and run off.
