it wasn't a very smart thing to do, and now you know wo's going into the duo round, you can already begin to formulate strategy's and the likes to counteract the duos your team will face. it was a shame that in a way, you were exploiting your own wife's kindness, but you wanted to win this tournament and you'll use everything supplied to you.
-------
you were slightly annoyed. it was currently team JNPR's team fight going on, yet you weren't watching it.
why?
because you were called away from the amity coliseum, and to the headmasters office. you had no idea why, but you had to go. it wasn't something you could refuse and it annoyed you so. why not during the break? why now of all times? what could Ozpin possibly need or want from you right now at this very moment?
you stood in the lift, looking down at your scroll and texting Ruby, who was acting as your commentator for the fight that you weren't able to watch at this very moment. the worst part about all this? the damn awful music of the goddamn lift. it was absolutely horrendous, yet you can't turn it off.
your tail was wrapped securely around your waist as you waited, the ride up the lift seemingly going on forever. although luckily, the moment you thought that it came to an end. the soft 'ding' of the lift reverberated through your ears, alerting you to the trip being down.
you put your scroll away and looked up at the door, waiting for the doors to open and allow you to enter the headmaster's office. the doors opened quickly and you instantly stepped outside the lift, happy to be out of the small confine you had been subjected in for the last few minutes.
you saw three people, one of them was Glynda, the other Ozpin and the last one was unknown to you. he stood tall and oozed silent pride. he wore a white overcoat paired with a grey undercoat, a black sweater with a red tie and a white glove on his right hand, the other completely free. his trousers resembled the same colour as his overcoat, with them tucked into his grey boots.
his hair was black, although there were some noticeable grey areas, maybe a sign of stress or old age? it was unknown to you. then again you had no idea who he was, why he was here, or even why you were here.
"ah, Mr. Rose. i apologize for the sudden calling." Ozpin spoke, addressing your arrival into the room with a slight wave of his hand.
Glynda looked over to you, giving you a discreet nod and smile that only you were able to catch.
"i'm sure you're wondering why you're here." Ozpin continued, watching you nod your head. he gestured over to the man om his right. "this is General James Ironwood of the Atlas military. he wants to meet you."
you raised an eyebrow. the Atlas general? he wants to meet you? why? why could he possibly want to meet you?
"a pleasure." Ironwood spoke, moving over and extending a hand. "i've heard great things about you from your parents."
'he knows my mum and dad?' you thought, reaching for his hand and giving it a firm shake. 'that still doesn't answer the question on why he wants to meet me.'
he nodded his head when he shook your hand, respecting your firm and strong grip that refused to buckle under the strength of his prosthetic. there was also a glint in your eye, it was as if you were silently sizing him up.
'he's just like they said.' Ironwood thought to himself, supressing the urge to smile. 'good.'
"now then, let's get straight to business, shall we?"
Ironwood coughed into this hand, moving over to Ozpin's desk and leaning on it.
"i would like to recruit you to the Atlas military."
