When you sat back down, Blitzø made sure to put himself between you and Loona. Moxxie and Millie were seated on one side of the booth, while you were on the inside seat of the other side. To be honest, you probably needed the space to think about what the fuck just happened outside. You rested your elbow on the table, and then put your chin in your own hand, in a thinking pose.

You had spilled your guts about how you died to Loona. Blitz had overhead from the bushes. You were grateful he didn't demand your soul as your employer, and once again had let you keep your job, despite this being the second major fuck-up that you had. There was something else...Loona had been so close to you. The way she smiled...Did she like you back? Gods, that would be nice. Blitzø had said something about romcoms. Did that mean he also thought there was something between you and Loona?

"(y/n)! (Y/N!)" a familiar voice was saying loudly, trying to get your attention. You shook yourself out of your trance. Moxxie was looking at you strangely.

"Are you okay?" he asked. "Blitzø just told me that you had decided to foot the bill for tonight. What happened outside?"

"They look like a lovesick puppy," Millie said to Moxxie, although she said it in a way that was intended for the whole table to hear. Blitzø growled and gritted his teeth, but continued to eat, trying to ignore you sitting next to him.

"No, sorry. Wait, sorry. Fuck. Could you say that again?" you asked Moxxie. Millie's comment had put you off your game. Was it that obvious? How did Loona react to that? You turned to look at Loona, but Blitzø's horns were in the way, and Loona was slouched in a way that you couldn't see her face. Shit.

"I mean, you got Blitzø of all people to be responsible tonight," Moxxie said. Blitzø gave him the bird. Moxxie made a face of disgust, but ultimately ignored him. "And you're just...handling it instead? What happened outside?" Moxxie asked again, turning his attention back to you.

You thought for a moment.

"Blitzø convinced me to. I was talking to Loona about alcohol, and Blitzø came out of the fucking bushes!" you chuckled, technically telling the truth. "I honestly don't know how he convinced me; it was all so fast." That part was a lie.

"I mean, if you still have the written agreement, you could—" Moxxie started, but Blitzø cut him off by pulling the slip of paper out of his coat pocket and holding it up triumphantly. He ripped it in half to emphasize his point, letting the pieces drift out of his hand onto where we had cooked the meat. They lit fast, and were gone in a flash of fire.

"I see," Moxxie said, defeated. Was he proud of you before? For convincing Blitzø initially?

"Sorry," you said to Moxxie. You hadn't noticed before, but were you friends with the pompous imp? The thought hadn't occurred to you before. You were the one that backed him up during company meetings, and he had helped you in writing the agreement.

"It's alright; I think we're just about finished eating anyways," Moxxie said, calling for a waiter.

"Yeah! We wouldn't want to impose! Obviously, you don't get paid as much as Blitzø." Millie said happily, gesturing to the larger imp. Blitzø grunted, obviously not enjoying how the night was going, despite not having to pay anymore. You should say something before he gets madder at you, you thought.

"I mean, I'm okay if Blitzø orders something else," you said sheepishly, putting a hand on Blitzø shoulder reassuringly. Blitzø turned to you, and pointed at you angrily. You yanked your hand back. Deep breaths, (Y/N).

"Listen, you may have everyone else at this company wrapped around your SHIT-covered little finger, but you won't see me taking your charity!" Blitzø growled. "I'm onto you, bitch." Blitzø had clearly been stewing with thoughts about you since he found out you were a sinner, and the results were not good.
