As I was writing this chapter, I decided to change the pronouns to keep the reader gender neutral. If I missed something, please comment!

You found yourself on a balcony overlooking the Pride Ring. You had crossed and rested your arms on the railing, and were searching the skyline of Imp City for something. You weren't sure exactly what it was, but it seemed important. You looked down, and saw that the building your balcony was attached to seemed to descend further than you could see, disappearing into darkness below. You looked at the neighbouring buildings, and saw that they too seemed to have this puzzling feature.

"Don't fall," said a voice behind you.

You turned to see who had spoken. You felt nauseous at the sudden movement. Your vision blurred, and you hunched over as you fought back the urge to throw up. A figure rushed to your side, put one hand on your shoulder, and the other on your forehead, as if to feel your temperature. Their hands felt furry. You figured this must've been who had spoken.

"Shit, are you okay?" the figure said worriedly. You blinked your eyes a few times; clearing up your vision. You straightened, and looked up at the figure who had their hand on your shoulder. They let the hand that was on your forehead fall to their side, but kept the one on your shoulder where it was. You were looking at their face, but couldn't seem to make out their features. You blinked a few more times, but it never got any clearer. You looked around; the building was in focus. The black glass that separated the balcony from the inside you could see just fine. You looked back to the figure. They were still blurry.

"No, of course you're not okay," the figure said. "You look like you're...never mind."

"Who are you?" you asked the figure.

"A friend. Maybe something more if you're smart." Like that wasn't confusing as shit, you thought. It didn't help that everything had started spinning. You grabbed the outstretched arm of the figure to steady yourself.

"You can't stay here," the figure said, noticing your worsening condition.

"Where should I go then?" you asked, confused. You were still in Hell; Imp city was right ther—Imp City had disappeared. There was only black void. Only the balcony, the building, and the figure remained. Your nausea was getting worse, and you almost threw up again.

The figure shifted the arm you were grabbing to your neck, and lifted you into the air. You frantically gripped the arm tighter as you felt the air being ripped from your lungs. The figure walked to the edge of the balcony, and dangled you off of it. You were unable to hook your legs to the railing, due to the strange shape of them. The darkness below roared, as if it could sense it was about to be fed. It seemed to creep up around your vision as you had the life choked out of you. As your vision blurred, the face of the figure became clearer. It was Loona. She held you there for a moment, before she spoke again.

"Not here."

Then you were falling.

You awoke with a start to blinding lights, sitting up. You hit your head against something hard as you did so, and saw a red and black blur being flung across the room.

"OW! What the fuck was that?!" You complained as you rubbed your forehead. Why did your throat feel so painful when you said that? Was your dream real? No, couldn't be. You looked around, and saw that you were in a hospital room. You barely had enough time to register that there were people in the room before you were given an answer.

"Blitzø was choking the shit out you, Satan only know why!" Loona said to the side of you, growling in the direction of what had been flung. The way she was posed...had she just taken her hand off of your shoulder?
