Loona Part 2: Hints

Start from the beginning

Loona would gradually get closer to you, though. Emotionally, as friends, but also physically within the space of the office. At the beginning, she usually sat in the waiting room chair that was across from the receptionist desk, occasionally chatting with you about her assassin job when she was between missions. You eagerly listened, appreciating that you got to spend time with her. One day she had moved from sitting on the couch, to leaning against the desk. You didn't notice at first because it had been like that first day, when she had brought alcohol in.

She came in, leaned against your desk, teasing and asking you about the fact that you never drank at work. You said it would be a bad look for a drunk receptionist to answer the phones. She had laughed and agreed, despite you remembering stories from Moxxie about her drinking when she was the receptionist. You were several hours into working when you realized she had never moved. You looked up, and saw her looking at something on her phone, typing occasionally.

"Who're you texting?" you asked, curiously.

"Vortex," she answered plainly. You remembered your first day here, at I.M.P. Vortex had been the massive grey hellhound that had said to say "Hi" to Loona for him. Then you remembered when you had invoked his name to stop Loona from attacking you, when you accidentally had gotten her fired. She had blushed, you remembered.

"Oh. I remember him from my first day here. He seemed...nice," you said, not sure if you should be jealous or not. If she's got a crush, or if he's her boyfriend, I should just back the fuck off. Not act, or do anything, you thought to yourself.

"Yeah, he's a cool guy. I once went to a party over at his girlfriend's house," she responded. No blush, and Vortex already has a girlfriend, you thought. Maybe I've got a chance. Wait, a chance? What the fuck are you thinking right now? Boundaries!

"What was that like?" you asked, trying to distract yourself by keeping the conversation going. Loona still hadn't moved from the desk.

"Oh. You still haven't paid Blitzø back for the chairs," she said, reacting to her screen as if she had just gotten a text. You almost thought she was dodging your question, but you realized she was right.

"SHIT. You're right!" You stood up quickly, startling Loona. "Is he still in the office? You're here, and you usually go on missions together, so he should be here." You said quickly, casually remarking on this fact that you had noticed about her, without really thinking about the fact that you had just revealed you paid attention to things like that. You moved to Blitzø's office door, opening it.

"Wait, I didn't actually—" you heard Loona call as you closed the door behind you.

Blitzø's office was small, but it didn't contain much furniture anyways. There was a large desk and chair, behind which was situated a large, framed portrait of the four other members of Imp. Blitz and Millie were at the top of the composition, happy with wide smiles. Loona was looking at her phone beneath Blitzø, while Moxxie was almost getting pushed down out of frame by Blitzø's arm. Blitzø was at his desk, leaning back and sleeping with his mouth open, loudly snoring. His obnoxiously large horns hooked around the back of the spiked frame of the chair.

"Blitzø?" You asked quietly, not sure if you should try to wake him up.

Blitzø blinked open his eyes, saw you, and started choking on his own saliva. This caused him to lurch forward, catching his horns on the spiked frame of the chair.

"Gahck! Fuck! WHAT, (Y/N)?! Can't you see I'm busy—" He paused, trying to think of an excuse to give you at this moment. He carefully unhooked his horns from the chair. "—doing something important!" He continued shouting, angry that you had disturbed his beauty rest.
