Who is your favorite author (It can be on Wattpad or in general)?

I don't have an absolute favorite author honestly! On Wattpad, I really love the works by writetospeak, myheartsmistake, RelentlessChaos, rebelliousmockingjay, and imaginator1D. Anna has really inspired me because I hope to be a bestselling author, and to see how something she wrote for fun become so big is amazing! I want the best for each and every one of the authors on here, and I hope we can continue to support each other.

Off of Wattpad, I love the works by Philippa Gregory. She has made me gain a huge love for historical fiction, and one day I hope to write and publish a book in that genre!

John Steinbeck is also a really good author. I've only read Of Mice and Men and The Pearl, but I hope to read some more of his books!

I've recently begun reading Emily Brontë's Wuthering Heights, and it's very good! I can't wait to see where it goes!

Recently, I've purchased 15+ books, and the authors I'm most excited about are Jane Austen and Giovanna Fletcher!

What inspired you to first start writing? Is it a big part of your life?

Niall inspired me, as crazy as that sounds! I was on Pinterest one day and I stumbled upon some Niall imagines, and I was immediately hooked! I googled "Niall Horan imagines" and it took me straight to Wattpad. I remember thinking "hey, I could do this too!" So, I did! I wrote a few, and I wasn't too sure if I wanted to post them at first, but I did, and here I am! I honestly could never thank Niall enough because he helped me find my way here, and I've never been happier, as sappy as that sounds.

Writing is a HUGE part of my life now. I try to write something every day, and I love it! Originally, I was going to be a science major in college, but I'm changing to English, and I'm very excited to get started. Writing on here has helped me realize how much I love it and how much I want to do it the rest of my life. I hope to pursue a career in writing because it has become my livelihood. I don't know where I'd be without it.

What was your reaction when you first hit over a million reads?

I was shocked! When I started, I hoped to be a big account that people looked up to and asked for help from. I love helping others out when they need it, no matter how big or small the task. Nothing is more gratifying. It took time, but it happened, and I was thrilled!

I told my parents about it, and they were really happy. At first, I didn't tell them about it, but once I realized this is what I wanted to do with my life, I told them, and they were really happy that I found something that I love to do so much. They've been really supportive in my decisions, and it's been great.

What can you say to frustrated writers who work hard but never get many reads?

NEVER give up! If this is what you want to do, do it. A ton of reads don't come overnight. I've been on here 2+ years, so it takes time. It's always nice to try and talk to people and become their friends, because then they help you out too. Just be nice to everyone, and encourage them when they need it. You never know how much they can end up helping you.

I'm not saying "oh, go take advantage of the people on here by promoting your stories to them." That will hurt you in the end. What I mean is have fun on here, be kind to everyone, no matter if they have ten reads, or millions. And when you do become a bigger account, always remember them. They helped you, and it's not hard to send them a quick message when they send one to you. People on here are so nice and supportive, so reach out to them! I've met so many great people, and my readers are the best people on the planet because they take the time to read and comment on whatever my silly mind comes up with. Be appreciative, because in the end, it will pay off.

Can you connect to any of the characters in your stories?

I've recently started a new story called Laurel, and at first I envisioned her as very sweet and shy, but after the first chapter, I realized she is the spitting image of me. She's sassy, silly, sensitive, girly, and she's an English major! It's insane how even though I wasn't planning on shaping her that way, her personality just kind of went in that direction!

Where do you get inspiration for your stories?

I get my serious fanfiction ideas from everyday life, as broad as that sounds. The ideas just come to me, and whatever pops into my mind, I write it down. Fiction is what I love to write, but I like to write about how everyday people would live, and the potential struggles that they can go through. I have so many ideas in my mind, and I'm very excited to get them started.

As for my imagines, it's the same thing, although they are much more cutesy! I've found that people read these imagines because they want that escape and that feeling that they're with a specific person. Everyone goes through their struggles in life, and if this is their little escape, I want to make it as happy and enjoyable as possible.

How did you find about this website [Wattpad]?

I googled "Niall Horan imagines" and the rest is pretty much history!

Lastly, do you have any advice in general for up and coming wattpad writers?

Never ever ever give up! If writing is what you want to do, whether it be for fun or if you want to turn it into something more serious, don't let anyone get in your way. There will always be people that love your writing, or dislike it, and you can't listen to the negativity. Go on with your head held high and tell yourself "I can do this if I want. I'm good at what I do." Everyone's style is different, and you can't dwell on the idea that "oh theirs is better than mine," because that is not true. Write from the heart about anything you want, and take pride in it. Writing is not easy, and it's very time consuming, but the feeling you get when you complete a piece of work and people appreciate it is so worth it. You are worth so much, and you have a lot to give, so keep going and never give up. It doesn't matter if you only have a few reads, keep going, because someone will see your hard work and love it. Be kind, make friends, and do YOU.
