Beginning Of The Festival.

Start from the beginning

there was obviously no response to her question, but you had the feeling that if someone did, it would have been a 'yes'.

"i still wonder why Ozpin let me in early. i know why (Y/n)'s in early because i asked, but i wonder about me. maybe he'll tell me one day? you know what? i just realized something funny. the more i get to know Ozpin, the more he starts to sound like Uncle Qrow. i wonder why?"

"woof!"

the sound caused the both of you to jump lightly and look over your shoulders. there, learning against the tree, would be Tai, with Zwei standing infront of him.

"oh! looks like dad's back! i gotta go! he's dropping me and (Y/n) off at Beacon for the tournament matches before he goes off on his next mission, wish us luck! bye mum, love you!"

Ruby put her hood back up and begin moving to Tai and Zwei, letting go of your hand in the process. you remained still, looking down at the gravestone before once more clasping your hands together in a prayer.

'i wish you rest well. and i promise, i'll look after Ruby with everything i have.' you thought before turning around and beginning to follow after the 3.

the wind brushed past your ear.

'thank you...'

you stopped and slowly turned around, yet nothing was there. never the less, you felt as if maybe Summer had heard your thoughts, and responded to them.

'no problem.'

-------------

"woah he's....really into this isn't he?"

"why wouldn't he be? his wife is down there fighting."

you sat, or rather stood, in the stands with your friends, watching the ongoing fight team RWBY was participating in. although no words emit from your mouth, you emit silent cheers in your mind for Ruby, and even held up a large sign that said:

'YOU CAN DO IT TEAM RWBY!!!!!'

Claire and Onyx stared at you as you pumped your fist into the air over and over, clearly watching the spectral closely in order to determine who was wining.

it seemed like a constant back and forth though, whilst Blake was winning in her own little battle, Yang seemed to be struggling with hers. it was a close match in your eyes, a sentiment shared by even the commentators.

you had completely zoned out anything else but the fight that, that much was evident when Jaune had attempted on numerous to get your attention because your tail kept slapping him in the face. eventually he just gave up and had begun to lean to the side instead.

by watching the match, everyone was able to witness the teamwork between both teams, the chemistry of one's team attacks and the utilisation of one's semblance and even their own weapons. in a battle like this, everything was to play for and only the one's with the most teamwork would come out on top.

the battle itself was hard to keep up with, but that was mainly because there were 4 different battles going on at once a majority of the time. sometimes it became a 2v1, others a 3v1, before going back to a 1v1 but with different opponents.

due to how close the match seemed, the battle seemed more akin to one of attrition, the attrition being the very very slow dwindling auras of the 8 on the field. although aura count was high for the majority, with only a 3 people's aura either equal to or lower than the percentage of 60. other than that, the rest was at least 70% or higher.

truthfully, it seemed the first knockout was ages away, but everyone was proven wrong when Blake eliminated the first opponent with a truthfully obvious as hell play. i mean, why the hell would she just stand near the out of bounds without a play? especially when you KNOW she can create clones of herself that she uses to take it hit? how did that not cross the persons mind?
