A few months later
Cadey and I are getting ready to watch the final race of the year.
"Skye, bring the popcorn. It's about to start."
I plonk down next to Cadey on the couch.
The green flag waves and off they go.

"Go Lando. Go Lando .GO!" Cadey yells at the television.
She grabs my hand. "Lando is going to win. He is gonna win."
"YEEEEES!", we both shout.
Cadey and I jump up and down in my apartment. "Omw Cadey, Lando won!" We are cheering and throwing popcorn in the air.
"Lando Norris wins the Abu Dhabi Gran Prix and Mclaren are World Champions."
"Congratulations Lando. I knew you could do it. I am so proud of you." I whisper under my breath.

Although we were friends, we fell in love. It happened slowly, without either of us noticing. What started as shared laughter and quiet moments turned into something deeper.
Thank you Lando. I realized that sometimes the best love stories are the ones that begin with friendship.
