L's POV

My phone rings. I answer quickly.
"Are you ready, mate?" Oscar's voice comes through on the other end.
"Yeah, I'll pick you up soon", I reply.

I throw on some deodorant and head out the door to grab Oscar. It's such a beautiful night, I decided to take the 720S for a spin.

Oscar's about 15 minutes away at the hotel, and it's already 7:30 PM. I don't want a late night, so I hurry. The car's engine roars, echoing down the streets.
"And this is why I love cars. The sound, the feeling," I think to myself, smiling.

I pull up in front of the hotel and see Oscar waiting outside.
"Took you long enough," he says as he gets in the car. "I found a nice little bar that's lowkey, so we don't get too much attention. I spoke to the owner, and they've got a section reserved for us to just chill and have a few drinks."

"I like the sound of that," I reply, pulling away from the hotel and heading down the road toward the bar.

We stop in front of the place, and I hand the keys to the valet.
"Our table's at the back," Oscar tells me.
I nod, and we walk upstairs into the bar. As we do, I glance to the right, where I spot two girls sitting at a table, cocktails in hand.
"Bet you they're Lando fangirls. Don't worry, we'll keep them away from you," Oscar says with a chuckle.

I lock eyes with the girl sitting at the end of the table.
"Wow, she has the most beautiful blue eyes."
I smile at her as we walk past, and I catch a glimpse of her face as we head toward our table at the back.

Oscar starts rambling about the race this week, wondering who's going to land on the podium between him and me.
"I'm definitely beating you," he says, raising a shot of tequila.

I glance toward the bar and see the girl from the patio standing there now. She looks at me, but as soon as our eyes meet, she quickly looks away.
Hmm, interesting. Not what a typical fangirl would do. I'm intrigued.

I get up from the table.
"Where are you going, mate?" Oscar asks.
"To get more tequila shots for you," I reply.

Oscar raises his shot glass in the air to toast me. I slowly walk toward the bar, my eyes fixed on the girl. She's not flashy at all, unlike the other girls here. Her outfit is simple and comfortable. I find that refreshing—it's not something I see much around here.

She's talking to the bartender, asking if there are any good nightclubs nearby. Before the bartender can answer, I decide to step in.

She looks at me and jumps a little.

I explain to her where the club is but I cannot stop looking at her eyes. They are mesmerizing.

She thanked me and I decided as a nice gesture I will pay for their drinks. I am a nice person after all. I walk away and back to the table after a brief conversation with the girl.

"Where are my shots?" Oscar asks as he points at the empty shot glasses on the table.

"It's getting late. I did say I don't want a late night."

Oscar looks at me. "Well, Mr.Norris. We are not going home. I want to go to a club."
Seeing that I only had one drink, I guess I need to take care of this man.

"Sure, we can go to the club up the road."

I leave my car at the bar and we take a walk up to the club. I thought a dash of fresh air may do Oscar some good.

There is a long line of people outside and close to the back of the line I spot the girl from the bar and her friend. Patiently waiting to get in.

"Oscar, wait here. I will be right back." I walk over to the security guard.

"Evening Mr Norris, what can I do for you?"

"Hi there. There is a girl in a white shirt and a blue jean jacket with her friend in a yellow summer dress." I point at them and he sees them.

"Can you let them in, put their drinks on my tab and make sure they have a ride back to their hotel and can you give this to the lady in the white shirt?"

"Yes, of course Mr Norris."

"Thank you."
