He didn't really need to buy me food, but here he is watching me settle myself on the bench and put the food on the table.
"You're welcome." he said in his deep voice kaya tiningala ko siya.
"Ikaw? Kumain ka na?"
I unconsciously moved when he started walking towards me and settled himself beside me casually.
"Yeah." he said. "Go, eat. What time is your next class?"
"Two." I simply said and my eyes followed the bottle of water he placed on the table near my food.
"Here's your water." I looked at him strangely for a few seconds before starting eating.
Is he going to watch me the whole time? And why is he close? I could smell his scent because he was kind of near.
"Ikaw, anong oras klase mo?" I said after swallowing the food in my mouth.
Hmm. Masarap.
"One thirty."
Napatingin ako sa relo dahil sa sagot niya. It's almost one kaya binilisan ko ang pagkain at hindi na siya pinansin.
"Slowly." halos mabulunan ako nang bigla siyang magsalita kaya napalunok muna ako bago siya tinignan.
I licked my lower lip and brought the fork with chicken near his face. "Gusto mo?"
He watched it for a few moments before moving his head so he could eat it.
Hindi man lang tumanggi.
"Asan na pala 'yung mga kaibigan mo?"
I remember seeing him earlier with his friends, which is why I'm wondering why he was alone.
"They are on their own. I don't know where they went after lunch." tumango ako.
Baka nasanay lamang ako sa mga kaibigan ko na madalas nagsasabi kung saan pumupunta. Pero ngayon hindi ko alam kung nasaan sila dahil hindi ako nag-oopen ng group chat.
"Baka nasa nursing department 'yung isa." I said out of nowhere when I remembered that he was Tina's boyfriend.
"Probably. I don't know." he said coldly.
I dipped the chicken in the mayonnaise and fed him again.
"Ikaw, you don't have a girlfriend? You should go with your friends para makahanap ka rin. Madaming magagandang nursing student do'n, tol." a faint chuckle went out of my mouth when he winced.
"I am not interested."
Right. I've heard him once or twice saying that he was not interested nang may mga babaeng lumalapit sa kanya.
"Gusto mo pa?" I am almost done with my food and there's only one bite left so I asked him.
He shook his head and opened the bottle of water. Akala ko ay iinom siya ngunit ibinalik niya ito sa lamesa.
Nagkibit-balikat ako at inubos ang pagkain bago umimom ng tubig.
"Thank you ulit. Let's go."
He asked me to sit for a few minutes before we left the place to attend our afternoon classes.
I was smiling widely as I entered the classroom, too happy about something. I even unconsciously ignored my friends questions.
"Tinalo mo pa si Red. Mas mukha kang in love, dude." I turned my lips into a grim line when I heard the phrase I never expected to hear from Aiden.
In love?
I chuckled and elbowed him. I don't think falling in love will ever happen to me. I can't even like women romantically, so what made him think that I am in love with someone?
