Atlas:
I saw you at the pavilion with your blockmates. Did you eat your lunch?
I chewed my lips as a type for a reply.
Blake:
Hindi pa. I don't have time.
I waited for his reply to come but nothing came. I sighed and glared at the papers in front of me.
I also hate the fact that our professor required us to write the answers instead of typing it.
"Red, bilisan mo diyan. Iiwan ka namin." saad ko nang nakitang nakatanga na lamang siya sa kanyang cellphone, tila naghihintay sa kung ano.
"I'm done." walang pakialam na sagot niya kaya naman ay binilisan ko ang ginagawa dahil gusto ko na ring matapos.
Lagpas isang oras yata ang itinagal bago namin natapos ang ginagawa at ang nagugutom na si Aiden sa tabi ko ay parang mangangain na.
"We can't eat outside the campus. We only have one hour left before our class." Elijah told him.
"Kaya pa 'yan."
I put my bag on my shoulder after fixing my things.
"Una na ako." saad ko at nagsimula nang maglakad dahil sa labas pa yata kakain ang dalawa. Si Red ay kaagad na umalis nang matapos kaming lahat. Hindi ko alam kung saan iyon pupunta.
Ako naman ay sa cafeteria na kakain. I am too lazy to go out.
I stopped on my track when I felt my phone vibrating in my pocket so I took it out.
Binuksan ko ang iMessage nang makita na si Atlas ulit iyon. Yes, we are now using iMessage instead of messenger.
Atlas:
Hi. I bought you food. Are you still at the pavilion?
My lips parted after reading the message he sent me.
He bought me food?
Atlas:
You're not yet done?
Another message came from him when I didn't reply. I was so busy earlier that checking my phone slipped my mind.
I looked at the time he sent these and realized that it was fifteen minutes ago.
Hindi na ako nagdalawang isip at tinawagan siya.
"Hello."
"Where are you? I'm at the pavilion right now but you're not here." bungad niya at hindi man lang bumati pabalik.
"Umalis na ako diyan. Pupunta sana akong cafeteria para kumain." I said.
"You don't need to. I bought you food. Where'd you wanna eat this?"
I felt like something caressed my heart hearing the softness in his voice. And the fact that he bought food for me makes my heart feel warm.
"Diyan na lang sa pavilion. Babalik ako." I said gently, feeling soft all of a sudden.
I started walking back and a smile was slowly kissing my lips when I could already see him despite being a little bit far. Nakatayo siya malapit sa kung saan kami nakaupo kanina.
"What did you buy for me?" I cockily asked the moment I reached him.
"Buffalo wings. Do you eat this? I am not sure if you would like it with mayonnaise." he gave me a container where the food was.
I couldn't stop smiling the whole time I opened the container.
"I like buffalo wings and I like it with mayonnaise. Thank you for this."
