you had no reason to bring them here. none at all. you just wanted to be with your team for a while, that was all. a completely innocent reason. in fact, you would be brainstorming potential thing to do at this very moment.
you've heard a new trampoline park came out a few days ago, but there's also this ice cream place you've been dying to try.
oh oh! it would probably be a good idea to get some ingredients for some delectable confections for al of your friends, alongside a lot for your wife when she returns. yes oh yes that would be quite the good idea wouldn't it?
anyway, enough of that for now, what could you think of that all of your team might like? you sent a glance over your shoulder to look over at the 3. well, Onyx seems like he'll enjoy anything, whilst Claire just seems to want you to be happy more than anything Alice seems to be the only person you can count on to provide something she might like.
hmm...would she like a trampoline park... but they're expensive no? would the 4 of you even have enough lien to go? well, knowing your team Alice would be the one with the most lien as she has a part-time job at Beacon itself. Onyx and Claire....you believe they have something set u[ judging by the lien they get, or maybe their from a well off family?
problem is they just spend it. Onyx just buys random shit, but Claire normally buys dorm accessories, clothing's, or pays for the dates she's been going on with Alice recently. hell Claire has even paid for something you were going to buy, all because it 'wouldn't be that much' when it was like 90% of your lien that month!
you're not even that envious of them. you're from a decently paid family, and your wife's dad makes enough to feed 4 people and a dog after you moved in the year before, so it's not like you were struggling for lien, but still....
but yeah, now that you think about it you most likely would be able to pay. but now the questions becomes would they want to go?
you took yet another look at your team.
'yeah that was a dumb question.' you realized very very quickly.
you went down to grab your notepad and pen looking down towards your pocket, yet stopped. your ears twitching a fraction of an amount.
in response, your head shot up, catching the attention of your team. your sudden shift in behaviour was bizarre, especially as they watched your eyes shoot back and forth, your hand craning in different directions.
"uh...(Y/n)? you good man?" Onyx asked, walking towards you.
he watched as you raised a hand, almost as if signalling him to stop talking and moving. so he did just that, looking towards the other two and shrugging his shoulders.
they observed you keenly, noting how you invested everything into figuring out whatever it was caused this sudden change in demeaner. your eyes darted around everywhere.
there was a sound. a incredibly faint sound. normally you would dismiss it, but a shiver that crawled its way up your spine forbid you from doing so. you had no idea what it was, or where it was going from. it was anything but natural sound. not the sounds of trees swaying, voices of nearby pedestrians, or the sound of birds flying and singing through the air. it was something completely different.
the sound was so very faint. almost impossibly so. you have no idea what that sound is, but there is one thing you do know. you don't like it. you absolutely do not like the sound that's infected your ears and you can't even explain why. it was just this gnawing feeling you had that made this sound disgust you greatly. under normal circumstances, you believe this wouldn't be the case, but that shiver that imprinted itself onto you, that pounding of your very soul of rage, the feeling of pure malice towards whatever that sound was was outright deafening.
