1 Month Later
Y/N and Zanden came through a portal smiling and laughing.

Zanden: I can't believe you shoved a guy's head up another guy's ass!

Y/N: Eh it's not that hard when you're strong enough.

Zanden: And that German gun you used, you ain't have to yell "Hail Hitler!" and shoot it. You even did the salute and talked about the Thousand-Year Reich.

Y/N: When you have a meme gun, you gotta meme.

Ophelia couldn't help but smile at Y/N. After the whole Wet Nurse fiasco, she's been trying to comfort him, especially after he told her about his past. Her talk with Nexamoria brought his underlying envy to light, which came from how concerned and broken he saw when the Wet Nurse cried over the child. It reminded him of something he didn't have growing up. Because of that, she's been acting a bit more motherly toward him, which seems to have improved his mental state drastically. The mood, however, was ruined by Melchor being Melchor.

Melchor: If you're done being useless, Balthazar has found the next item's name.

Groaning, Y/N followed Melchor to the meeting room. There, Balthazar was surrounded by an assortment of random items.

Y/N: Uh,,,,,what are all of these?

Balthazar: Ah, Y/N. The next item is called a Relic from a Dark Past, which is exactly what it sounds like.

Y/N: So....it's something that someone has that they associate with a traumatic past?

Balthazar: That is correct.....but I have yet to find anything that is wreathed in enough negative energy.

Y/N: I got a question. How do you even get stuff like this? I mean, a lot of things here look like they hold sentimental value to someone.

Balthazar: Good question Y/N. Many people are willing to part with these items for a fee or-

Melchor: I just take them as king. Anyone who denies an item will be executed.

Y/N just rolled his eyes at Melchor.

Y/N: What classifies as a dark past? Or a relic?

Balthazar: So long as the item can be associated with pain, suffering, rage, or any kind of negative emotion, it can be a Relic of a Dark Past. A Dark Past can be anything considered painful or traumatic: abuse, neglect, a quest for revenge.....

Y/N: Being raised in a doomsday cult that believed they were the only ones worthy of being saved by God and the people of other religions were either demons, fallen angels, or the children of one of the two?

Balthazar: That's.....oddly specific. But yes, something like that can count if the owner sees it as negative, why do you ask?

Y/N: Well that was my childhood. The guy that ran the cult spent thousands of dollars on a hand-made Buddha statue all the way from China, let a ton of old men bring it in, and let everyone in the cult just completely desecrate it. I'm talking spray paint, pissing on it, breaking parts off, hell some chick took a shit on its lap. So yeah, that's how tolerant it was.

Balthazar: I....see. And did you enjoy this childhood of yours?

Y/N: Oh hell no, it was TERRIBLE! Between getting beaten for questioning the words and being hated for dumb shit, Hell is more welcoming than that place. Though my friend Roxy gave me a necklace before she died, she was my light in that place.

Y/N reached into his shirt and took out the necklace, prompting Balthazar to observe it. The moment his eyes went wide, Melchor snatched it off of Y/N's neck.
