"What book, Blake?" nag-uunahang tanong ni Elijah at Leigh.
"Law book." I simply said as we started walking to leave the gym.
"Mag-aabogado ka ba?" Hindi makapinawalang tanong ni Red.
"Anong mag-aabogado? Baka mag-aabogago."
I pulled Aiden's ear because of what he said. Lalo na noong nagtawanan ang mga kaibigan namin.
"Una na ako."
Hindi ko na sila pinagsalita at tumakbo na papunta sa sasakyan ko upang makaalis kaagad, nag-aalala na baka wala nang tao sa library.
I nodded my head at the manong guard who was guarding gate three when he opened it for me so I could enter with my car. Dito ako pumasok dahil mas malapit sa parking lot.
Everything happened fast because I was in a hurry. I just found myself walking fast to the library after parking my car.
I let out a heavy sigh when I saw students going out of it, indicating that the place was still open. I went to the return desk straight but I was unconsciously tilting my head and roaming my gaze around, looking for something... or maybe... someone...
But I didn't see him.
"Meron pa po ba kayong hihiramin na libro? It's almost seven na po kaya hindi na pwedeng magstay dito." napalingon ako sa babae na library assistant yata.
I smiled at her and shook my head. "Nothing." I said, even though I almost went to the part where it wasn't visible from where I was standing just to look for... someone.
"G-Ganun po ba." she said, stuttering. A chuckle went out of my mouth when I suddenly heard the nervousness in her voice.
My gaze went from her face to her chest where her name tag was.
"Yes, Ms. Leila." I winked at her before turning my back so I could leave.
My smile was slowly fading as I walked to the parking lot.
Sana bukas ko na lang isinauli 'yung libro.
I took my phone out of my pocket and opened an application. I don't know why but I felt like I was waiting for something and I wanted to see something. Pinindot ko ang notification bell ng account ko ngunit hindi ko man lang nakita ang kanyang pangalan. He didn't even react to my own posts and shared posts.
Pakiramdam ko ay may kulang pa rin kahit noong nasa bahay na ako at gumagawa ng plates ko.
Hindi ba 'yun pumunta sa library?
O baka nahuli lang ako?
I massaged the bridge of my nose, getting annoyed at myself because why am I so bothered?
"Damn it." I hissed when I couldn't focus on my plate.
I stood up and took my phone to open the application again as I threw myself on the bed.
I was lying on my chest as I scrolled on my phone for minutes. There were messages that came from friends and women that I needed to reply to when an idea popped up on my mind.
Ngumisi ako at sinearch ang pangalan ni Rain upang i-add siya. Gagawa ako ng group chat namin.
I was already laughing while adding each one of them because I could already imagine Kiel's expression once he finds out.
Aiden:
Ano 'to?
I scoffed and typed a reply
Blake:
Group chat malamang.
Clara:
Blake, did you add Rain on facebook?
Blake:
Yup.
Clara:
He won't accept you because you post too often!
