"Oh honey, you look fine! Relax!" My mother scolded me as she sat in the passenger seat of the car. My dad was driving, while I had to sit in the back along with my older brother and baby sister.

"Seriously, Tinkerbell. You look great!" My brother nudged my shoulder playfully.

I groaned and slapped his arm. "Don't call me that, you bafoon!"

"Tyler! Don't slap your brother! Frankie...uh...carry on, son." My father yelled, waking my little sister up. When it came to my brother, my father was always confused.

My sister Victoria stretched her arms and tugged on my sleeve. "Ty-Ty, are we there yet?" She asked.

"Almost, Tori, almost." I ruffled her hair.

I watched as we passed by endless trees and a giant lake. Just around that lake is where we're going. "I heard there were a lot of animals in these woods." My brother smirked. "Bears, coyotes... Wolves. " I knew what he was doing at this point. Victoria was afraid of wolves ever since she heard the story of Little Red Riding Hood . I heard her whimper as she grabbed onto my arm. "Big. Mean. Scary. Wolves. Wolves that eat little girls named Vic-"

"Hey, look! We're here!" I declared while glaring at Frankie.

We pulled up to a clubhouse, the music already blaring. Once we stepped out of the car, my cousin, Farrah, ran over and squeezed us in a hug. She squealed, "I missed you guys so much!"

"Missed you too, Farrah. Happy birthday." Frankie smiled.

"C'mon, Tyler, you have to dance with me!"

She took my hand and pulled me inside. Once we stepped through the door, Farrah let go of my hand, causing me to trip.

A pair of arms wrapped waist and stopped me from falling. "Thanks." I smiled at him.

He smirked back, "No problem, I'm Luke."

"Tyler. It's nice to meet you."

"Unique name, I like it." He winked.

I was probably blushing, but my cousin saved me from embarrassing myself. "Tyler!"

I excused myself from Luke and wandered through the dancing crowd. When I couldn't find her, I went to go find my family but someone grabbed my arm.

"Um, excuse me." I said.

She sneered, "Who do you think you are?"

"Uh...."

"Listen, you need to stay away from my boyfriend. I saw you flirting with him. Do me a favor and stay away from people who are spoken for." And with that, she spun on her heel and left.

I blinked and shook my head. Did that just happen? Like how was I supposed to know! I need some air.

I headed toward the back door of the clubhouse and escaped the chaos. Taking a deep breath in, I closed my eyes. Parties just aren't my scene.

I ran a hand over my face and sighed. I could of been home reading a nice book, but my parents forced me to come to Farrah's party. Don't get me wrong, I love my cousin. I'm just freaked out by her... strange friends. They growl at each other and talk about weird things like... alphas and rogues. Farrah told me it was some sort of insider between all of them.

A deep growl erupted from the woods, causing me to jump from my spot. Was Frankie serious about the animals living in the woods, or was it one of Farrah's friends playing a joke on me?

I narrowed my eyes towards the rows of never ending trees. Something was there, I know it. I heard the rustling of dried leaves, making me take a step back, closer to the door. But that's when I saw him. Well, his figure anyway. His eyes illuminated through the shadows between the trees.
