Joonghyuk's POV:

Dokja stormed out of the limo and left him alone with Sangah Yoo. He looked her over as she glared at him.
"You know, you really should tread more carefully if you don't want Dokja to know about your past." Joonghyuk warned.
He had done his digging into her background as well. He found something very interesting.
"How old were you again? Fifteen? It must have been quite a shock to awaken so suddenly, so maybe you weren't thinking clearly, but the fact that you haven't told him means you still feel quilty."
Sangah hung her head down with shame.
"It is a shame, you were best friends with that Han Sooyoung girl in high school, I bet you thought nothing would change when you awakened, that you'd still be the same around her even if she's a guide."
Sangah sat silently with clenched fists, but
Joonghyuk kept pressing, because he was making a point.
"Nothing you did back then was wrong. She was a guide and as soon as you awakened you knew in your heart she was yours. The pain you're feeling now is only because you denied the bond and ran away. You should have claimed her as yours when you could. Would you like to know where she is now?"
Joonghyuk had two reasons for doing this, one was to separate Sangah from Dokja, he didn't like how close she was to his guide.
The other reason was truly for Sangah's benefit. Dokja had been helping her by guiding her every once in a while, but that only worked because he is an incredibly powerful guide. Without the guide she's meant to bond with, Sangah will slowly slip into insanity. Joonghyuk had experienced it himself in the past two months, he can't imagine going for years without his guide.
"I don't need to know where she is. She didn't want to be bonded, and I... I almost... forced her."
"Maybe she would have been mad at you for a little, but in time both of you would have been happier."
"Is that what you thinks gonna happen with Dokja? Listen to me very clearly. You took Dokja's friends hostage in order to get him. You are selfish and arrogant if you think you can just rip someone away from their life and make them happy. You called Dokja's life "fake" but there's things about Dokja that you don't understand. His past... he hasn't had good experiences with espers."
"Why don't you enlighten me then, so I don't make the same mistakes."
"It's up to Dokja if he wants to tell his story. I'm warning you to tread lightly, because I'd rather live every day knowing I gave my guide up so they could be happy, then being someone who made my guide miserable just to make myself happy." Sangah said with a determined glare before exiting the car with a slam of the door.
Joonghyuk was glad he had this conversation, it let him know three things: Sangah was a morally good individual and he could trust her to be around his guide, even if she was naive, she knew about the past missing from Dokja's records, and he could prove that he was right, that bonded guides belonged with their espers. He just needed Sangah to be convinced, and she would help convince Dokja since he trusts her.
When he got out he heard Sangah talking to Dokja "please just worry about yourself."
Joonghyuk was happy to hear she was giving his guide good advice. Joonghyuk hated seeing his guide work himself to death and spend so much time helping others that he neglects himself.
"She's right you know. You worry too much about others and not yourself. You seemed so adamant about running from me, yet gave yourself up in order to save your friends."
"That's because they had all helped me, I couldn't ruin their lives just because I got involved with them."
"How would you be ruining their lives, they would just go to the place they belong. By that definition, does it mean you think I ruined your life?"
"do you even need to ask?"
"Well I guess if we are using that definition, then you're correct. I ruined your fake life to bring you home where you belong." Joonghyuk knew this would anger Dokja, but he truly knew this was for the best.
"Why didn't you get on the plane? Oh... that's right, here let me escort you." He said, remembering that guides needed to be with their espers to board long distance transportation.
He watched Dokja fume as they walked onto the plane.
He understood now that Sangah was just looking out for her friend, but both of them were naive and misguided, and he would prove it to them in time.
