Part 20

Joon: I'm clueless hyung. First, I don't understand why Tae feels the need to date Park Bogum of all the people in the world suddenly, that too before his military enlistment. Second, I don't understand when did he get over Jeongguk? Wasn't he still pining over him just last week? Third, why is Jimin glaring at Jeongguk continuously? What the fuck are they fighting over? Fourth, why is Tae so silent? Fifth, why is Hoba so vocal about Tae and Gguk suddenly? This is so not him! Sixth, why does Suga hyung look like he's going to kill Jimin out of all the people in the world? Seven, what the fuck am I doing here?

Jin: Joon, I love talking to you, but listen very carefully to hyung. We don't need everything to come in sevens, ok? My head is hurting already, don't you dare give me a migraine! Did you seriously just add seven fucking questions to my confusion?

Joon tries to avoid Jin's eyes.

They settle down in the living room, Taehyung beside Bogum. And Jeongguk in the fucking opposite couch. That is a first in the history of any house BTS has EVER lived in and Jimin has officially gone berserk. Now look, Jimin is an amazing person. He really is. He's just a little overprotective about Taehyung sometimes. And currently, Jeongguk's nonchalance is bringing out the worst in him. If you think he has missed the way Suga has been sending him murderous looks all through the evening, you're wrong. He hasn't. And he blames Jeongguk for putting him in this position. He blames bloody Jeon Jeongguk for everything that has gone wrong with the universe today.

However, angry Jimin has never really been the most intelligent Jimin either.

Which is precisely why Kim Taehyung's plan is brilliant, because he knows all he has to do is get Jimin worked up (it kinda works on Jeongguk too - they can't be angry and intelligent at the same time).

You see, Jimin has not once questioned how Jeongguk has not reacted at all to Taehyung hinting at dating a guy. While Taehyung's sexuality has never been discussed as a group, all the hyungs have an idea about it. It's not like he kept it a secret from Jeongguk, they just never got around to discussing any labels. With Jin and Yoongi, Tae did seek a lot of comfort when he was struggling to come to terms with hiding his true self from the world. Joon taught him the art of being subtle, but not secretive, when he went to him with the idea of Stigma. Hobi and he have always had a silent understanding, what they call a 'weirdo' pact - where they've mutually decided to never be weirded out by any revelation about the other. And Jimin knows everything about him, right from the first guy he fantasized about, i.e. yes, you guessed it right.

Today is supposedly (for Jimin) the first time Jeongguk gets to know about Taehyung's sexual preferences, and it has completely missed him, that Jeongguk wasn't in the least surprised. If he had noticed, he would've found it strange because he knows all of Taehyung's secrets, and if Taehyung has already shared this information with Jeongguk, then Jimin would know.

But Jimin is angry, and hence, blind. Jimin is angry, and hence, stupid. Jimin is angry, and hence, taking the matter in his own hands now.

Jimin: So Tae, now that we're all settled in the living room, what's your big news?

Suga: Jimin, let it go. He'll talk if he wants to.

Jimin: No hyung, he wants to talk. I know he does. He told me. Tell them, Tae.

Suga: You don't have to say anything Taehyungah. Don't mind Jiminah. He's drunk.

Jimin: I'm not drunk. Not at all. Am I drunk Taehyungie?

Jin: Oh my God the suspense is killing me. What the fuck do you two know that we don't? Can you just tell me before I get a heart attack?

Gguk: Because of how old you are? Or...
