Part 10

By the time Jeongguk reaches his room, he's already on YouTube, searching for Taekook videos. He clicks on one of the longest ones (thinking the longer the video, the better the explanation, faster his research, obviously he has a confession to write, and rewrite twenty times ). But of course, he gets sucked into the world of genius Army editors, tending to believe even moments that he knows for sure are exaggerated. For the next few hours, all you can hear from him are short gasps of realisation and exclamations

'Ohh?'

'That wasn't scripted '

'Umm... ohmygod'

'No. Shut UP! I looked at him like that?'

'SOOOOO handsome'

'No wonder I can't stop staring at him!'

'Oh no. I did that?'

'Oh no, he did that!'

'Well of course I can't take my eyes off him when he speaks, he's my baby '

'Shit, I just said my baby'

'True though'

'Sigh'

'Okay now I get it. I get why people say what they say.'

Jeon Jeongguk is stupefied. Because, no, really, how has he been so oblivious? He's literally been behaving like an extremely protective, jealous, and possessive boyfriend if fan cams are to be believed (and since those have captured certain moments that were really not scripted and very spontaneous, he's pretty sure how obvious his feelings have been). And why the hell has Taehyung never ever said anything to him? He's literally all over this baby hyung of his all the time. And he's never been pushed away. In fact, from what he's seen today, Taehyung seems as interested, if not more. Umm. No, scrap that, Jeongguk is definitely more interested.

He's totally forgotten that he has to write down his confession, because shit, what if Taehyung also likes him? Now how is he going to handle that? While he was speaking with Hobi, and realising his own feelings, his train of thoughts kinda stopped at his confession, simply because he cannot stay away from Taehyung. That's non-negotiable. He didn't really think beyond that. Like what if Tae says no. NO. Nope. Jeongguk is gonna die. Meaning he won't die, but it will definitely feel like that. He's kinda scared of the intensity of his feelings because it's just been a few hours since he's woken up from what feels like a very deep, ignorant, slumber. And yet, he feels like his entire life is hanging by a thread. Like it's up to Taehyung to save him, or let him perish. He cannot, for the life of him, fathom how he is going to handle rejection from Taehyung.

And that's really Tae's fault. He's never said no to Jeongguk. For anything. Not for cuddles (well, it was Tae who started cuddling him, and then he got so used to him, he can't sleep without them. FUCK! What an idiot. He should've guessed it there), not for sharing food (because Jeongguk is always hungry, and Taehyung is always feeding him. He's not like Jeongguk who doesn't really like sharing food...ummm, but he does share with Tae, he especially cooks nonspicy food for Tae when everyone else forgets. DUMB. Jeongguk is dumb. He has NEVER done anything like this for anyone else), or clothes (same. Taehyung is always ok with giving him his clothes, and Taehyung is the only one allowed to wear Jeongguk's clothes - did he mention he is stupid? Yeah), or for the lack of personal space between the two of them and the abundance of space between them and others, always (you get the drift, yeah Jeongguk's not very bright, yep).

So yes, Jeongguk has been oblivious. But Taehyung is older, smarter (smartest in the universe according to Jeongguk. Maybe just a little less than Namjoon, but still), and emotionally way, way ahead of him (he means a higher EQ, but he's forgotten what it's called), so he should have just taken him out on a date or something (oh. OH. He's done that too, ohh God, Jeongguk's got the brain of a pea). Maybe he should've just sat Jeongguk down and told him, explaining to him that Jeongguk is in love with Taehyung. He would have understood, because he really, most times, only understands what Taehyung explains. He doesn't even question it. If Taehyung just told him one day, "Jeonggukie, you're in love with me, did you know that?", he is pretty sure his response would be, "Ohh? You think so? Must be. Can I kiss you then? I have always wondered what it would be like"
