Part 20

For the entire length of the dinner, Jeongguk makes it a point to talk to Bogum the most. (For the uninitiated ones, when Jeon Jeongguk becomes competitive, ummm.... Just ask his Run BTS cameraperson what happens, hmm?). He's been busy stealing glances at Jimin throughout and he's thoroughly enjoying himself, if the confident smirk on his face is anything to go by.

At the moment, there are five utterly confused people at the table - Jin, who is confused about Gguk's change of heart but very, very proud; Joon, who is just simply confused as to why this night is so confusing; Suga, who is actually more angry at Jimin as to why he gave in to the younger's whining and crossed several boundaries than confused (although Jeongguk's really managed to surprise him as well); Hobi, who cannot even fathom what the heck is happening in front of him; and Jimin, who feels that he needs to drown in self loathing while trying to understand if his entire life is a lie.

Jeongguk had no clue that he would be enjoying this so much. He's not a petty person, but he thinks the look on Jimin's face tonight is enough for him to put this incident behind their back once the night is over. He's put Jimin through enough torture and he's feeling quite magnanimous. He's almost feeling as confident as he feels about winning the Run BTS episodes that have physical activities (the author may just be missing Run BTS, bear with her!), and he's pretty sure he really can give acting a shot now, going by the hint of a smirk on Taehyung's face that only he can catch because, well, he does have a doctorate in all things Taehyung... his boyfriend.

"So Bogum hyung, do you have any new projects coming up soon?"

"Umm... no. Not after the current one. I will be taking a break"

"Ohh, okay. Yes we all need to take a break sometimes."

"Actually, Jeonggukssi, I.. I might be enlisting this year"

"What? For the military?"

"What else do we enlist for, Jeonggukah?" Jimin interrupts, and Jeongguk can almost see the fumes coming out of his ear. Ohh this is priceless.

"Oh wow. Yeah, okay. Then what are you going to do about the situation going on, you know, here?" Hobi nods towards Taehyung. And damn, does he sound victorious because of course, it doesn't make sense to get into a relationship right before enlistment, does it?

"That should not be a problem, Voo is as patient and loyal as they come, right Bogum hyung?" Guess who chips in? Yeah, you're right.

Jimin: The fuck are you answering on behalf of Tae and Bogum hyung for?

Jin: Language, Jiminah. We have a guest.

Bogum: It's okay Jin hyung. Jimin, it's fine. I completely agree with Jeonggukssi. No one is as patient and loyal as Tae. And I'm sure no one knows that better than Jeonggukssi himself.

Jeongguk nods his head in affirmation.

Taehyung's acting is at its peak because you cannot make out a thing from his expression.

Jimin is bewildered.

Hobi: Can we move this conversation to the living room please? My head is kinda reeling.

Tae: You ok Hobi hyung?

Hobi: Oh now he speaks. Is this the first time Jeonggukah has let you speak for yourself since he's graced us with his presence tonight?

Tae: Aah, hyung. It's fine. He's been so good tonight, hasn't he?

Jimin: Why do you always defend him, Taehyungah?

Jin: Come on children, to the living room we go.

To Joon, in a hushed voice, What the heck has happened to these boys today? Even Hobi is behaving out of character, and look at how quiet Suga is. Can you understand what's going on?
