"Hobi'yung, Hobi'yung... Hobi'yung? J...Hooooooooopeeeee"

"JayKaaaaaaaaaaaaay... to what do I owe this pleasure?"

"Whaddyamean? I come to you all the time!"

"Not since Taetae moved back in you don't"

"Oh come on, that's not true"

Actually, it is a hundred percent true.

Everyone knows about Jeongguk's way of interacting with his six hyungs. He is in awe of Namjoon (probably not over his crush, won't ever be, he thinks), and whenever he is close to Namjoon or gets to hug him, his face looks like he just won a lottery that not many have ever won in the whole world. With Jin, he is a brat. He cannot live without Jin in his life, and that's that, and they're like actual siblings so he's never going to tell him that unless he was held at gunpoint. He is very comfortable with the eldest and they are always finding an excuse to annoy each other, because Jeongguk is very sure that he and Jin were supposed to be real brothers (and he was supposed to be the older one), but fate goofed up at the last minute. Doesn't take away an ounce of feeling he has for Kim Seokjin, though. He is also in awe of Suga hyung...who he's started to call Yoongi recently (a very, very bold move, if you ask him, and he doesn't know where he got the courage from). But he knows Yoongi dotes on him, and he feels privileged with the knowledge that Min Yoongi will protect him from anything remotely harmful, in all his forms, be it Yoongi, Suga or Agust D (in order of rising fierceness).

The only other person he wraps himself around willingly apart from Taehyung, is Hoseok. Hoseok is like his most favourite blanket (second to Taehyung, obviously). He is also the voice of calm reasoning, the most empathetic one, and the best advisor out of all his hyungs. Because when Hoseok speaks, or shares his advice, its always well thought, considering all angles, and comes from his huge, huge, fucking humongous heart that can never wish anyone ill, unless they are horrible people. Jeongguk can stay wrapped around Hoseok all the time, it is just that comforting, even for a non-touchy-feely person like him.

When Taehyung moved out of the dorms, Jeongguk was mostly found in Hoseok's room, moping, or just seeking comfort from the very strange hollow feeling he was experiencing. For the longest time, Jeongguk was extremely jealous of Park Jimin (he probably still is, whenever he sees Jimin with Taehyung, but he is NOT going to admit that). For as long as he can remember, he has been fighting for Taehyung's soulmate-spot with Jimin (quietly, in his head, but it's a legitimate fight that Jimin and Taehyung are both unaware of). But when the company decided that he needed to be paired with Jimin to create the Jikook (ugh) drama, he actually got to know Jimin better. See Jeongguk and Jimin have always had a very fun relationship.

But he would never consider Jimin a friend or an elder brother, especially when he was younger and way more possessive than he is now (which is a LOT because he is still very, very possessive), he always saw Jimin as competition when it came to Taetae's attention. It was all in good humour, but they weren't close. Jeongguk wasn't close to anyone at that time, really, except for Jin and Taehyung.

But the more he came to know Jimin, and saw how Jimin took over the reins to help him with the onscreen drama so that he didn't really have to do much, made him realise that Jimin was really an amazing friend to have, and he silently gave up his fight for being Taehyung's soulmate, because Taehyung deserved the best, and Jimin was really the best friend one could ever have. Not that he wasn't sad about it. He doesn't like losing. But one night he overheard Taehyung and Jimin speak about him:

"So, if I am your soulmate, who is Jeongguk?"

"Jeongguk is Jeongguk"

"What kind of an answer is that, Taetae?"
