Part 2: Stealing or borrowing?

This is imagine #2 because the first imagine was posted on my personal blog...so anyway, here it is! the picture is from (what I remember) Cody's younger sister's twitter. To the anon who was the first to make a request (i love you for it ;D) I'll be posting your request sometime soon because I'm still trying to not lengthen it too much because it might seem dragging, but for sure I won't abandon it so don't worry ;)

It wasn't stealing per se, it was merely borrowing.

This was what you thought every time you took Brett's lacrosse jersey hoodie from him, the smell of him comforting you and making you feel safe and secure every time you wore it. Whenever his hoodie went missing, he knew exactly where to find it.

"How is it that you keep finding it?" Brett asked from the doorway to your room, his tall build leaning on the doorframe as he watched you type away on your laptop finishing an essay.

"I have my ways," you smiled to him, your glasses low on your nose making you look at him above your glasses' frame.

"And what might those be?" he asked, walking over to you and sitting on the edge of the bed and reading what you wrote or highlighted on the papers around you, leaning with his hand on the other side of you.

"Homework," you answered, your fingers still typing away on the laptop's keypad and him still watching you.

"So when can I get this back, then?" He asked after a few seconds of silence, before playfully taking the hood and pulling it over your head and blocking your view, a few chuckles coming from him.

"Will you stop that?" you huffed, pulling the hood back and sitting up from your position of lying on your stomach and fixing your hair and tying it back before it got messed with.

"I will when you stop taking my jersey."

"But I'm too attached." You said, going back to your paperwork.

"But wouldn't you want the real thing?" He asked, suddenly pulling you by the waist closer to him before he gestured to himself from head to toe with a smug look and a chuckle.
