Chapter 7

Chrom and the Shepherds were nearing the town, just a few more miles to go.

"Look at all the loot!" Gauis, the theif, chimed as he poked around the bag full of coins.
"It was rather generous of the village to give this to us for aiding them." Frederick marvled.

Chrom wasn't paying attention, he was staring straight ahead.
"Keep up. The faster we get back, the happier I'll be." Chrom ordered.
Everyone fell silent, trailing behind the leader.

"You're just grumpy because you miss Robin." Lissa frowed.
A laugh spread through the crowd, irritating Chrom.

"I'll admit, these journeys are livlyer when Robin is with us." Panne spoke up.

Finally, they were at the borders of the town. They heard screaming, and smoke was coming from the town.
"To arms!" Chrom called, sprinting toward the town.

"Wait up!" Lissa called, waving the crowd towards the town.

"Oh gods!" Chrom shouted.

Risen were advancing toward the town.
"Lissa, check for wounded! The rest of you, come with me!" Frederick barked orders.

"I'll meet you guys in town!" Chrom called back.
