"oh no."
she quickly turned around and grabbed you in order to stop your advance.
"(Y/n) NO!"
------------
(Y/n) had been distant.
hell, he wasn't talking to Ruby either.
by all accounts, he was distancing himself.
for the siblings, it would make sense, for it was clear he was still angry.
for Ruby, she did not know why.
and it made her feel sad.
however, she dedicated her entire being to stopping you from doing so!
because she knows you.
you're a social person.
you don't enjoy being alone, especially if there's a Ruby nearby!
she stared at you from across the classroom.
you sat alone, none of your friends were there.
you were doing your work with a neutral expression on your face.
you caught Ruby's gaze, yet turned away.
you just couldn't bear to look at her.
why you might ask?
have you ever heard of the term 'crossfire' before?
well, during the little kerfuffle 2 days ago, Ruby took a small hit.
and i dont mean you swung your arm around and connected your knuckle with her cheek, if that did happen, you'd probably die of guilt.
what did happen, was that she tripped over and lightly hurt herself.
and you will forever blame yourself for that.
how could you possibly call yourself her husband when you were responsible for her injury?
so, riddled with guilt, you decided it would be a good decision to give yourself space from her.
for each passing second, the gnawing feeling would begin to consume you even if you were you were in the same room as Ruby, which made classes unbearable.
it was your lack of resultant which caused a problematic situation, it is only fair you should be punished.
due to the fact you were now alone, have a guess who showed up?
motherfucking Cardin.
"all alone huh?" he spoke, resting his hand on the table and standing over you.
you looked up at him and his dumbass smirk.
you blinked.
Cardin, for some reason, expected you to look scared.
but truthfully, you looked done.
"not surprised nobody would want to sit with a freak like you. did your friends finally realize how useless you are?"
his smirk extended when he noticed you look down.
from across the room, Ruby almost broke her pencil.
how dare this bitch-
oops! that was a swear.
anyway, how DARE Cardin say that!
she should go over there and-
she stopped in surprise when, for only a millisecond after she blinked, your tail was at his neck, the same edge as a blade.
