Beomgyu walked into the fancy restaurant and saw Jeonghwan already waiting for him. He glared at him before sitting down in front of him.

"I didn't expect we'll be having a date before marriage-"

"it's not a fucking date. I despise you with all my heart and you know that"

Beomgyu had called Jeonghwan to talk, two days before their marriage. He wanted to know what Jeonghwan exactly wanted.

"why are you doing this to me ?"

"it's simple and I think you already know the answer to it"

"because you hate Taehyun ?? you want to take revenge for whatever beef you have with him ??"

"I'm getting married to a smart man-"

"can you shut up ?! what will you get from this huh ?!"

Jeonghwan shifted closer with his elbows on the table.

"Look...tell me... who's the best employee in our whole company ?"

"and who's gonna get the CEO position if I get into trouble or step down ?"

"Obviously the one who deserves it...Kang Taehyun"

"Exactly"

Jeonghwan said, leaning back and taking a sip of his coffee. Beomgyu furrowed his eyebrows.

"That doesn't even make sense... he's still gonna be the CEO"

Jeonghwan kept drinking his coffee, thinking of a good excuse.

"I can't let him have both"

"You and the company"

"What am I ?? A trophy ? Can you please get straight to the point ? cause what do you get from marrying me huh ? are you in love with me or something ?!"

Jeonghwan stared at Beomgyu for some time before leaning back closer.

"I just... hate Kang Taehyun.. I can't see him happy.. I want to take everything away from him"

"I'm not marrying you psychopath!"

Beomgyu said, aggressively standing up to leave.

"He won't get the CEO position then"

Jeonghwan said, also standing up. Beomgyu stopped and turned around. He walked closer to him.

"He will cause he deserves it!! Everyone in the company knows who it should be and who are you to-"

Beomgyu paused. Fuck.

Jeonghwan smirked and stepped closer to Beomgyu. Beomgyu's lips were shaking because he was at a loss of words.

"Your dear Taehyun can either have you or the company"

"you're gonna let him have the company if... if I marry you ?"

"why not ? of course"

Beomgyu's eyes welled up with tears. He remembered all the times Taehyun rambled to him about how much he wanted to be the best one in the whole company.
