7. Neighbours

Few months passed and now Kirti was in class 8th, Aanya in 6th and Atharv was in class 10th. Aakarsh bhai was in college and in breaks returned from Mumbai to Mathura. Even Divya had got a college in Mumbai and was in Mathura in her breaks. Aanya had gone to sleepover at her friend's house and Aakarsh bhai had gone to play basketball with his friends. Kirti was on the couch watching Shinchan on the TV. When her mum came there.

Kir - *looks at her maa* maa aap kahin jaa rahe ho...??

K.M. - haan baccha...humare pados mein new neighbours aaye hai toh am going to greet them...!!

Kir - mumma mai bhi chaloon...vaise bhi mai bore ho rahi hoon...!!

K.M. -  haan chalna unhe accha bhi lagega...!!

Kir - *happily* okk mumma aap bas 2 minutes wait karo mai change karke aati hoon...okk.. *to which her mother nodded*

After 5 minutes Kirti quickly came down wearing a beautiful re top, blue denims and a small black jacket over it. 

Kir - chalein maa...mai taiyaar hoon...

K.M. - chal phir...*Kirti nodded*

They both went to the house which was just besides there. Just beside the gate Kirti saw a name plate on which it was written Rathod boldly. The Rathod reminded her about her Atharv Rathod but brushing way those thoughts she said to her maa 

Kir - maa...yeh name plate kitna sundarr hainaa...!!

K.M. - haan sacchi mein kaafi sundar hai yeh name plate...lekin abb andar chalein humlog...!

Kir - *giggles* haan maa sorry sorry...

K.M. chuckled with her and they both clicked the doorbell. They were greeted by Ashu ji. Ashu aunty smiled at Tanya maa.

K.M. - namaste Ashu ji...humne aapko disturb toh nahi kiya na..?

Ashu ji - Namaste Tanya ji ....and bilkul nahi Tanya ji aapne humein bilkul disturb nahi kiya... *looks at Kirti* Tanya ji aapki beti kitni pyaari hai...kya naam hai tumhara baccha..??

Kir - namaste aunty....and thank you so much and aunty myself Kirti...nice to meet you aunty...

As - *pinches her cheeks a little* nice to meet you too baccha...!!

The three of them settled on the sofa and were talking to each other when they all heard a voice of a boy who was dribbling a basketball.

V - maa...mai basketball khelne jaa raha hoon...will directly come in the evening.

Kirti didn't take a minute to recognise the voice but she couldn't react and remained in the same posture.

A.M. - Avi...beta..we have our new neighbours here...come atleast greet themm...

Ath - oops..sorry mom..abhi aaya...*he said and quickly went there* 

Ashu aunty nodded and Atharv came there. Keeping the ball aside he was about to greet but seeing Kirti over there he got shocked.

Ath - omgg...tum yahan..!!!!

Kir - umm..haan *shrugs and grins*

Ath - lekin tum yahan kya kar rahi ho...??!!

Kir - Mr. Idiot Attitude....Ashu aunty ne bola na new neighbours...so that means I..mtlb our family is your new neighbour.

Atharv was about to speak something but A.M. and K.M. interrupted both of them.

K.M./ A.M. - tum dono ek doosre ko kaise jaante ho..?? *together*

Kir - mm..haan mumma..hum dono ek doosre ko jaante haii

K.M. - lekin kaisee..??

Kir - maa hum dono same school mein padte hai...pichle saal se jaanti hoon isko mai....

K.M. - ohh yeh baat hai.. *looks at Atharv* beta aapka naam kya hai ??

Ath - Hello aunty myself Atharv...nice to meet you..!!!

K.M. - nice to meet you too betaa...!!

A.M. - ek cheez accha hojayega...ki tum dono ko bus stop ke aane jaane tak company mil jayegi... *to which Atharv just rolled his eyes*

Kir - aunty mai ek cheez puch sakti hoon kya...??

A.M. - haan haan beta bilkul pucho...

Kir - voh..actually...Divya di kahan hai...??

A.M. - beta voh basketball khelne gayi haii...

Kir - ohh..okk.. *turns towards her mum* mumma mai bhi basketball khelne chali jaun kyaa...??

K.M. - haan baccha chali jaa..lekin chot vagerah mat laga lena...sambhal ke khelna..theek hai..!!

Kir - areyy haan mumma don't worry...mai sambhal ke khelungii...!!

While Atharv was walking towards the main door, Kirti also ran there. They were walking till the basketball court when Kirti said.

Kir - dekho abb toh tum humare neighbour bhi bann chuke ho...abb toh mujhe aisa lagta hai ki challenge hum he jeetne vaalein hai *chuckles*

Ath - neighbour bann gai ho iska yeh matlab thodi ki mai tumhara dost bann jaungaa *smirks*

Kir - accha lekin abhi jaise humari mummas baatein kar rahe the uss hissab se mujhe lag raha tha ki abb mai challenge kaafi jaldi jeetne vaali hoon *winks*

Ath - haan you'll win..but in your dreams missy... *smirks*

Kir - and sometimes dreams become reality too Mister..!! *Winking at him she quickly ran to the basketball court leaving them lost in his thoughts over there on the road and he though lost in his thoughts walked mindlessly to the basketball court*

So, now they have become neighbours...!!!!
