Isabella's pov
Cassie and I were still in the same spot for about 20minutes
until one of the dudes from before came in. I think he was the one that told us about what would happen in the tests and he was dressed like Dad so that helped a lot
"The first and second rounds of the evaluation have successfully been completed. Some of you did great while others could have done better but what's done is done.
I will proceed to call out some names and if your name is among those that is called out quietly move out of the room and follow the blue arrows that are on the wall" He paused to look around the room before he pressed the surface of his watch making a digital holographic screen like the one we used to take our exam pop up
He tapped a few buttons on the hologram screen making a list to show up
I could see it was a list since the hologram screen was kinda transparent or something but I couldn't see the names since it was too far to see
I stood up from ground pulling Cassie up with me before leaning against the wall with Cassie copying me
The dude(we're just gonna keep calling him dude). Anyways, the dude started calling out names and listened for my name and Cassie's name while the people whose names were called walked out of the room
The dude took a pause before calling out the next name
"Isabella Rodriguez" I don't really know what happened to everyone cause like there was silence. I mean don't get me wrong there was silence while the dude was speaking before but once he called out my name there was pin drop silence
Cassie gave my hand a squeeze before nudging me forward
I tried to ignore the stares that I got while making my way to the door. I was just about to walk out of the door Cassie's name was called out
"Cassandra DeLuca" Pin drop silence 2.0 but Cassie as always didn't care. She skipped towards the door where I was standing. She put her hand on her hip once she was beside me
"Shall we Isa?" Cassie asked and I hooked my hand with hers
"We shall Cassie" I said as we exited the room
Once we walked a few steps away from the door, we started giggling
"What is up with those people and silence? Like they should really loosen up" Cassie said with a skip in her step while I made sure that we were following the blue arrows
"I'm pretty sure you know all about silence Cass" I said shaking my head a bit as I steered her into another corridor still following the blue arrows
"Yup! It's the worst" She said while adding a shiver for a dramatic effect making me roll my eyes
"Okay, I think this is the place" I said stopping at a door where the blue arrows end
"Cool, let's go in" Cassie said opening the door and walking straight in with no second thought. I followed right after her
Time skip to 10 minutes later,
The room was a bit crowded by now and everyone including me were just standing around looking clueless. Just then Agent T and another dude walked in. But it was not the dude from before so I'm gonna call him dude No.2
"The last round of the competition involves teamwork. You guys will be divided into teams each consisting of 3 members. Each team will be given multiple tasks to prove how well each one of you can work in a group and to test your skills" Agent T said pausing for Dude 2.0 to continue for her
"The same method use to group you guys for the obstacle course will also be used to make the teams. So one by one, each of you will come up to pick a wrist band and the people with the same colour of wristbands will be in a team" Agent T was holding a metal box similar to the one we put the wristbands in before
She wasn't holding that a minute ago
"This round circles around team work. So if you don't work as a team, you fail" Agent T said while smirking with a mysterious glint in her eyes
"As easy as that" Dude 2.0 said while shrugging at us with a smirk on his face just like the one on Agent T's face
If these people want us to fail they should just tell us cause jeezz
I thought to myself while mentally rolling my eyes
"The people at the front can come forward to get their wristbands, followed by the people at the back. You will be given 20minutes to find your teammates and to get to know each other" Dude 2.0 said before the first person made their way to pick a wristband followed by the next
Soon enough we all had the wristbands round our wrists
"As a heads up, the colour that goes first is purple. So use these 20minutes wisely. Good luck" Agent T said before she made her way out with dude 2.0 behind her
"Which colour did you get?" Cassie spoke up after being quiet in the the time that Agent T and Dude 2.0 were here
"Black" I shrugged raising my wrist up to show the black wristband
"Oh darn! I got green"
"How are we supposed to find our teammates with this many people around?" I asked looking around the room
"Just look around Isa. You'll be okay" Cassie said pulling me into a hug when she saw that I was starting to get nervous
"And make sure you do great in this round too" She said pulling out from the hug letting my hands rest on my shoulders
"Okay Cass, same goes to you"
"Okay Isa" I pulled her into a hug again before pulling away
We walked in opposite directions in search of our teammates.
I kept walking around for a minute or two before spotting a boy and a girl talking while leaning against the wall
I caught sight of the boy's wristband which was black like mine but I didn't see the girl's own.
I started making my way towards them while giving myself a peptalk
Okay Isa you got this. It should be pretty simple. Imagine being Cassie but a calmer version. Yeah easy
"Pretty easy" I whispered to myself as I now stood in front of them but they didn't notice me yet
"Umm excuse me" They both turned towards at the same time. I gulped before clearing my throat
"Hii umm I have a black wristband" I said nervously while raising my wrist up to show my wristband
The girl smiled at me showing her dimples
"My name's Asia. What about you"
"Isabella" I said in my usual quiet voice while giving her a small smile. She looked like she was 16 or something and she had really curly hair that was packed in a ponytail like mine
"Connor" The boy said nodding at me and I smiled back in response. He had blond hair that was kinda long but kinda short. He looked like he was 14
"So Isabella what can you do?" Connor asked while looking at me. I mean I am the one he's asking the question to so who else will he look at
"Umm I'm good at gun shooting, knife throwing, parkour, combat and gadgets making" I said fidgeting with my hands while looking down
Just then I felt a hand patting my head. I looked up to find out that it was Connor
"Calm your nerves child. You sound promising" He said while smirking down at me, making me to smile back before his words started to sink in making the smile to drop
"I'm not a child" I said while glaring at the floor
"You're soo cute/Tell that to your height" Asia and Connor said at the same time with Asia squealing a little while I huffed frustrated
