Chapter 6✨

Isabella's pov

So after our little shopping trip, we went back home. Once we entered the house, dad said and I quote
'Take off ur shoes Isa we're having a movie marathon'
And me being me just shrugged and went to his room to pick out the movies

I ended up picking Karate kid, Annie, Matilda the musical, Instant family and Transformers rise of the beasts.
Dad entered the room with his hands full of snacks varying from popcorn to gummy bears. Dad put the snacks on the bed and gave me a gummy bear packet since I absolutely loved them.

He got comfortable on the bed and pull me closer to him before he turned on Karate kid and started eating popcorn
After the movie finished we decided to have lunch before we continued watching the movies.
Dad just made us sandwiches with some sliced apples

After lunch, we went back to watch Transformers rise of the beasts. We were in the middle of it when dad paused it
I turned to face him but it was difficult to see since dad had turned of the lights. Dad turned on the lamp on his bedside table so we could see eachother clearly

I think I looked confused or puzzled or whatever but I do know an expression was on my face
"Isabella" Dad said and I gulped nervously
He never uses my full name
Did I do something wrong?
I don't think so
Does he wanna send me back t-
"I will never send you back" Dad suddenly said looking at me with a serious look on his face

I looked at him confused
"I will never let you go back Isa" Dad said again then I realised that I was mumbling
"I just wanted to ask you about something" He said while stroking my cheek with his hand
"I'm sorry" I shut my eyes and whispered to him as I started taking small breaths

Dad pulled me onto his chest and started running his hand through my hair
"I wanted to ask if you wanted to do gymnastics or not?" Dad said with a gentle voice while stroking my hair
I looked at him shocked, he had a soft smile on his face
"Miss Anna told me about you being in gymnastics in your former school and how you were good at it so I thought maybe you might want to continue?"

I was still looking at him so I think he took that as a no when it was actually a yes cause I was hella shocked
"If you don't want to that's fine" Dad stated after a few seconds of my staring and I snapped out of it
I threw my arms around him
"No I want to" I whispered in his ear and then he hugged me back

When we separated from the hug, I was still on dad's lap though with my head on his chest and he was playing with my hair
"There's also something else" Dad suddenly said and I tensed at that. Dad noticed and started rubbing my back
"It's nothing serious" And then I relaxed and gave out a sigh

"What do you think about learning how to fight?" Dad said and I shot up to look at him in his eyes
"Like in action movies?" I asked and he chuckled
"Yes like in action movies" He said while pinching my cheek
"Will I learn how to shoot too?" I asked excitedly and dad chuckled again

"We'll take it step by step peanut"
"Really?"
"Really" Dad said I couldn't help myself so I hugged him again
"Okay now let's finish the movie so we can eat dinner and then go to bed" I nodded still smiling and was climbing off dad's lap when he held me in place
"Ya staying here" He said in a stern voice and I blushed which made him pinch my cheek again

He turned me around so that my back can be against his chest and I would be facing the TV then he pressed play to continue the movie. We finished the movie and then I helped dad to cook dinner.
Wait lemme rephrase that
I tried to help him but he didn't let me and I also couldn't reach the counter

So dad carried me onto the counter and left me there to just watch him cook. Dad cooked spaghetti and veggie sauce. We ate and then we went to our respective rooms. I quickly did my stretch routine and had a shower and wore my PJs

I went to dad's room to see him on his laptop. He was sitting on the bed with his back resting against the bed frame. He turned towards me when I closed the door.
He patted the spot beside him and I climbed onto the bed and to the spot. He started stroking my hair when I lied down and I started feeling sleepy
"Sleep bambina" And with that I let sleep overtake me
