With Rebekah being out of town, Adalyn and Hayley had been hanging out a lot more since they wanted to rebuild their relationship and get back that bond they had. Adalyn and Hayley were sitting at a restaurant in the quarter eating lunch as they talked and caught up.

"It's been so long since we got together and I missed it," Adalyn admitted to the girl

"I can't believe Klaus let you out of the house," Hayley joked earning a chuckle

"He's been getting better at giving me my freedom," Adalyn defended the hybrid

"Point taken," Hayley mumbled under her breath

"Anything going on with you or the pack?" Adalyn asked as Hayley sighed

"I might be getting married," Hayley spoke before Adalyn scoffed

"To who? When? Why?" Adalyn questioned a lot

"It's a merger as much as I can tell and I've been fated to this marriage since I was younger apparently," Hayley spoke watching her reaction

"Tell me more about this wedding," Adalyn spoke with a sigh

"It's for the pack so my intentions are overruled for the pack's safety," Hayley stated with a hum

"Marriage should be for love though not wealth," Adalyn scolded her friend

"Adalyn, I'm marrying for my love of the pack so it's not useless," Hayley defended herself

"I'm not trying to offend, I get that you wanna help the pack but I don't want you to wake one day and want more for yourself and be full of regret," Adalyn spoke in a whisper

"Well, you should go before Klaus sends his soldiers," Hayley stated with anger

Adalyn nodded her head with sad eyes as she wanted more time with the werewolf but knew that she crossed the line by expressing her feelings about the apparent marriage. She was sitting in her room when Klaus knocked before walking inside.

"I hear you made quite an impression with the wolves and I trust you'll do nothing to harm our cause," Klaus stated as he came up to her

"Are you gonna go behind Elijah's back?" Adalyn asked as she watched him

"Come on! What difference does it make to you as long as Hayley's people benefit?" Klaus countered with a question

"If I find out that you are playing some game, trying to manipulate us for one of your schemes..." Adalyn started to scold

"You know, you've come a long way, little wolf. I knew you were tough, I knew you were cunning but I never knew you were a queen," Klaus causing her to scoff

"I don't know what you mean by that," Adalyn stated as she crossed her arms

"Queen of the Quater is what I'm talking about," Klaus pointed out with a smirk

"You'd really want me to rule this city alongside you?" Adalyn asked the man

"Of course, there's no one better," Klaus stated with a smile

"I am sorry for getting in the way of your plans, I was just talking to Hayley and I had no idea that she was going to go rogue," Adalyn explained walking closer to him

"She's your friend and she's probably always going to be, no harm done," Klaus spoke making her smile

"In private, you're actually a softie," Adalyn mumbled looking up at him

"Don't say that around certain people, there is no shortage of enemies since I took back the city," Klaus reminded her

Adalyn nodded before going to finish her book, leaving him the room alone with his thoughts. She knew that Klaus was hated but she was worried about the sake of her babies as those enemies came to light and she didn't know when they were going to come.
