𝗙𝗼𝘂𝗿, 𝗚𝗶𝗿𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝗲𝘄 𝗢𝗿𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗻𝘀.

Agnes had been bugging Adalyn to let her do a quick check-up as she was worried but Adalyn kept telling her that she wasn't feeling anything but good. She knew that she should probably go to confirm if she was having twins or not like Sabine said but the Idea of going when Klaus was undermining Marcel scared her.

"I told you, Agnes, I feel great," Adalyn remarked as they walked into the living room

"You are overdue for a checkup," Agnus convinced some more

"What am I gonna do? Pop into the Quarter for a quick ultrasound? A pregnant werewolf escorted by a witch, nothing to see here," Adalyn remarked with a chuckle

"A lot of women would kill to have a child. It strikes me as odd that you're not taking better care of yours," Rebekah scolded her friend

"I know a doctor out in the bayou just off the beaten path. Now, I took the liberty of making an appointment for you. Tonight, after-hours, just us. Vampires will never get word of it," Agnus promised the girl

"Okay, fine. Bayou-baby-doctor it is," Adalyn caved before they left

When they pulled up to the office, Adalyn had a gut feeling but was pressured to go inside so she did. They had done the ultrasound and Adalyn was in love with the babies already, she just wanted to be able to cuddle them now rather than later.

"Your baby's heart rate is perfect, both of them," Dr. Paigestated making Adalyn nod

"I knew it, they are tough ones like her mom," Adalyn spoke with a smile

"Yes, they are," Dr. Paige agreed as Adalyn put her sweater back on

"We're pretty much done here, right?" Adalyn asked as she answered Rebekah's text

"Your blood pressure is a bit high, I've got something for it," Dr. Paige spoke before walking into the other room

"Ahh, you know, I'm not that good with pills," Adalyn spoke with a nervous laugh

"Heh, neither am I, truth be told," Dr. Paige spoke with a needle before Adalyn used it against her

Adalyn had fought most of them off and she quietly thanked Alaric for training her as Rebekah vamp sped to her, she was relieved to see the blonde. Adalyn had walked up to the blonde with a smile who was just as happy to see her.

"Have to say, I'm impressed," Rebekah admitted with a smile

"So am I," Adalyn admitted as they hugged

"Are you okay?" Rebekah asked with concern

"How did you find me?" Adalyn asked the blonde

"Your text got me halfway, vamping here did the rest so who are they?" Rebekah questioned her friend

"Witches, warlocks, whatever," Adalyn spoke out of breath

"There are more of them, run!" Rebekah shouted before getting shot with an arrow

"Rebekah!" Adalyn shouted before getting shot too

When Adalyn woke up, she couldn't remember a single thing and Rebekah was nowhere to be seen so she just started walking since she knew it wouldn't help if she just stayed put. She came to a clearing where she saw Klaus and Rebekah standing looking at her

"Adalyn! What happened? Tell me what happened," Klaus stated holding her arms

"I can't remember," Adalyn spoke as he sat her down

"You've completely healed, there's not a scratch on you," Klaus observed looking at her body

"Leave her alone! It's the baby. The vampire blood, Klaus' vampire blood, in your system, it can heal any wound, your own child healed you but how did you escape? Outnumbered, unarmed? Those men were ripped to shreds," Rebekah stated to her friend

"I think it was the wolf, I think it's trying to protect me," Adalyn admitted in a daze

"The witches were supposed to protect you! When I get my hands on Sophie Deveraux..." Klaus started before Adalyn shook her head

"It was Agnes," Adalyn corrected the Hybrid

"Fine! Agnes, Sophie, it's all the same to me! I'll slaughter the lot of them!" Klaus vowed in anger

"Not if Elijah gets there first," Rebekah corrected her brother

"Elijah? Did you find him?" Adalyn asked the two

"He's been in touch, and he has a plan and all he asks is that we take care of you," Rebekah explained making her nod

"Hey, so can we go home now? I'd like to sleep for a few days," Adalyn remarked going to stand up again but almost falling

"Ooh, I've got you, love. I've got you," Klaus spoke picking her up

Klaus had taken her home and laid her in her bed where he sat for a few minutes to listen to the twin's heartbeat, he smiled at the thought of them healing their mother and keeping her safe. Klaus was just happy that she and the twins were safe tonight, he had started to grow fond of the three of them.
