Hayley got left with the task of taking care of Elijah since Adalyn wasn't talking to either of them, Adalyn was waiting for Klaus to come back so she could talk to him but she had a feeling that he wasn't coming back in a while. She walked downstairs when she heard Klaus, Rebekah, Elijah and Hayley fighting once again.

"Elijah's home, there's only one dagger which one of us will you be punishing today?" Rebekah asked as Klaus walked in

"I contemplated a game of eeny-meenie-miney-moe, you betrayed me, my sister," Klaus scolded with anger

"Niklaus, don't you dare," Elijah directed the Hybrid

"Perhaps it should be you, brother! Stealing my child away with every fawning moment of tenderness you show to Adalyn!" Klaus accused his brother

"This has nothing to do with Adalyn," Elijah deadpanned to the man

"It has everything to do with her, she's adored you since she arrived and now my children, my blood will grow up to call you father," Klaus stated before Adalyn shook her head

"You are just as much a dad as I am a mom, they'll call you dad," Adalyn stated walking up to him

"Is that what it is? You are once again worried that you will be left behind, has history taught you nothing? We won't abandon you, Nik, you drive us away!" Rebekah shouted at him

"Is that so? What have I done lately, other than cooperate? Now, I make no excuses for past sins but in the one moment when you two could have chosen to stand by me, to believe in me, to believe my intentions for my children were pure. You chose to stand against me, to side with my enemies. I wanted our home back. Now I have it. So I'm going to live there and the two of you can stay here together and rot, you're coming with me, little wolf," Klaus stated looking at her

"Why would she go anywhere with you?" Hayley asked looking at him

"Because, Hayley, those children she is carrying are the only thing on this earth that matters to me now you can fight me on this, but you will lose as will anyone else who tries to stop you from getting in this car," Klaus warned before Adalyn nodded

Adalyn followed and got into the car, the ride was quiet but she had decided that it was time for them to talk and clear the air. She didn't know how to start but she knew that he'd never abanded his children willingly.

"I know that you love these babies," Adalym started making him sigh

"I know you do," Klaus added before she looked at him

"And I know that you want them to love and not to create an army with," Adalyn stated with a smile

"You never seem to turn your back on me even though I've done many things to hurt you," Klaus reminded her before she nodded

"I know but you're the father of my children and I love you," Adalyn spoke in a whisper

"I am no man that you should love," Klaus stated in response

"We can't always have what we want," Adalyn reminded with a chuckle

"I know that fighting and stress aren't good for the babies so are you three doing okay?" Klaus asked as she rubbed her belly

"Yeah, we're better now," Adalyn spoke before laying her head down on the window

Klaus didn't say anything else but he went back to driving, he knew that Adalyn was tired from all the fighting and the pregnancy itself. Adalyn had dozed off shortly after they sat in the silence, she was finally at peace enough to sleep.
