ACT 1, Scene 6
[CHARLIE enters, wiping the sleep from her eyes, she is met with a scuttling Nifty, accompanied by her usual demonic laughter. But, for the first time in years, CHARLIE watches her father cooking...pancakes. At five in the morning.]
CHARLIE: [Yawning] What are you two doing?
LUCIFER: Oh! Hey!... honey!
NIFTY: We were making pancakes :D
LUCIFER: Sorry if we woke you up, kiddo! Ha-hA! Me and, uh, Nifty...we were just making up those pancakes! From earlier?
CHARLIE: Oh, yeah, it's just a little earlier than we normally... get up...
LUCIFER: Mmm, I see.
CHARLIE: Just, [sweetly] please be quiet. [NIFTY thinks for a beat, then offers a silent, but enthusiastic thumbs up.]
LUCIFER: You got it, CharChar. [LUCIFER freezes, then begins to turn before a thunderous knock is heard at the hotel door. NIFTY perks up as CHARLIE holds out a cautious hand. The knocking repeats. LUCIFER begins to go, and CHARLIE rushes past him, hesitating for a moment once at the door. [The knocking begins again but is cut off by CHARLIE throwing the door open.]
CHARLIE: MOM!? [Jumping into LILILTH'S arms] Wha-Where have you been?
LILITH: Charlotte my little princess! I've missed you too.
LUCIFER: Lilly?
