Chapter 65: Live Broadcast Final Rehearsal Moments

Start from the beginning

"Hey," He said. "That song-"

"Wait." I stopped him. "Just like the song said, you don't have to say anything. I told you what I had to and that's all that matters."

"But I want to." He said then took a deep breath before spilling his next sentence. "I wish I had the bravery to do what you just did because those are words I've wanted to tell you for a really long time."

My eyes widened as I processed what he had just said. "Are you saying you...?"

"Yes, Evelyn." He smiled. "I feel the same way about you. I have since before we were even in RC together."

"R-Really?" A smile formed on my lips.

He grabbed my hands. "Really."

I couldn't help but giddy as we fell into each other's eyes.

"So, now what then?" I asked him, wanting to know what was next for our relationship.

"Now, we go on a date." He said. "If you're okay with that."

My smile grew the biggest it could. "I would want nothing more."

Tyson smiled too and that's when I was called for a quick dress fix.

"Gotta go." I told him, slipping my hands away.

"Of course." He nodded. "Go do your thing. I'll be watching from back here."

I nodded with a smile as I walked away. I couldn't help but look back at him multiple times and every time he was looking back. My feelings for Tyson were reciprocated and he said they had been for a long time. It made me wish I had confessed sooner as maybe we would already be on our second or third year as a couple. But I didn't let that get to me. All I wanted to do now was look forward to a future with him.

-6:55PM-

~Zeke's POV~

It was our turn to perform and Gohn and I took our seats on the medal stools as the lights were dimmed. I pecked him on the cheek before starting.

"Good luck." I told him.

"You too." He said.

Once we were seated, the lights came on and our music started playing. Gohn was the first to sing and I couldn't help but stare at him as I melted in his voice.

Once it was my turn to sing, he was staring back at me and I reached for his hand and he reached back. I saw his smile as I squeezed his fingers. It made me smile too and our song felt stronger to me because of it. Our song ended with me staring into his eyes. I mouthed 'I love you' to him in a playful way and he just snickered and shook his head. As the crew and member audience applauded, we stepped off stage.

"You can't do that stuff in the actual show." He said.

"Woah, wait a second." I stopped in my tracks to show him how serious I was taking his words. "What do you mean? Why can't I?"

"Because, we haven't gotten much attention for our relationship yet." He shrugged. "I don't want what happened last time to happen again."

I scoffed as I was getting a little upset with his words. "Gohn, you realize Pinky knew about our relationship when she put us in RC, right? And she still put us together as apart of Black promotions. If she cared about our relationship affecting anything, she wouldn't have done all that."

Gohn looked down. I knew he believed my words but the trauma of our past was blinding him.

"Gohn." I grabbed his hands and pushed his chin up so he could look at me. "It breaks me to see how worried you are so if you really are worried, I won't do those things tomorrow. But I want you to know that even if it meant we couldn't be idols anymore, I would still date you. You're the love of my life and I wouldn't trade that for the world."
