Jeon Global Hospital:

Secretary Lim glanced at his President who seemed to have shrouded in a layer of gloom. Normally, he had seen President Jeon remaining indifferent to everything except for his precious wife, who always made him lose control over his emotions.

But this time, he came to know the importance of the family in his heart.

"President, I have already informed Young Mistress," The Secretary bowed as he informed Jungkook about it.

He just reached the hospital after wrapping up his work in the company and was greeted by the sight of his President sitting in front of the operation theatre.

At the mention of Lisa, the man finally raised his head to look at the man, "Mmm," was all he said before looking back at the floor, seemingly contemplating something.

"Brother, how is she? When did this....'' Jin was out of breath as he ran towards Jungkook.

Jungkook raised his head only to be greeted with the sight of a pair of teary eyes. "She will be fine. She just injured her right leg and her forehead is a little injured. Jennie said it's not that serious," he said before standing up and patting his head lightly.

Jin's tears rolled down his cheeks the moment his brother spoke up. It was typical for a grown-up man to cry like that but he did not care. He pounced on his brother as he cried his heart out. He tried to control his emotions on the way to the hospital but he was not able to do that.

He was thinking that it was his brother who is admitted to the hospital but when he asked Lisa ab0ut it, she informed him that it was not his brother. But before he could take a sigh in relief, he got to know that it was his mother who was brought over to the hospital.

"But... I just talked to her yesterday. She was alright, then how could she suddenly... What happened exactly?" Jin frowned as he asked.

It was only yesterday when his mother called him. She was even teasing him about settling down and getting her another daughter-in-law she could hang out with. She even said something like, 'Since my precious baby girl is always busy because of her position as the CEO in Ash Corps, you should get me a daughter-in-law who would have time to go out shopping with your pretty mom'.

Her constant teasings rang in his mind making him helpless. Ever since he was a child, he has been a momma's boy, unlike his siblings.

"She fell down the stairs," Jungkook said. Although their mother was a careful person, but it was a human's nature to be careless sometimes.

"But.."

Jungkook sighed, "She was on a phone call while walking down the stairs. She was distracted for a moment and lost her footing," Jungkook has already investigated the matter, and the servants made sure that this was what exactly happened there.

''But Mom is not a careless person as such..."

"She must be tensed regarding Lee Corps," Lisa walked towards the VIP section before standing next to Mo Brothers.

Earlier, Jin and her came together to the hospital but the man was so panicked that he practically ran all the way towards OT without looking back.

Lisa did not bother catching up with him as she knew she could not console him at a time like this.

"Lee Corps? What happened to the company?" Jin glanced at Lisa before looking back at his brother.

"The infrastructure project in Country B has experienced a setback and investors are backing out rapidly," Jungkook explained briefly, not going in details.

Jin was not dumb enough to not understand what his brother was saying.

Although he did not know why investors were backing out of the project, but he was well aware of the importance it held for Lee Corporation.

If this project failed, then it would probably leave Lee Corps in a miserable state. Other than that, he knew how much effort his mother has been putting into this project for the past two years.

"But the project was going well, wasn't it?" He was still not convinced about it. A few months back, when he discussed it with his mom and other directors at Lee Corps, all he got to know was about the development of the project.

Lisa sighed, "Mom has been hiding it from us," She looked very comfortable addressing her mother-in-law that way as she continued, "Recently, some rumors are revolving around the piece of land, it is said to be illegal. But since it was property under Lee Corps, the rumors inadvertently affected the company."

Jin glanced at Jungkook as if asking for information to which the man nodded.

Jungkook was not surprised that Lisa was aware of the situation in such a short time. She was the person who liked to go into details regarding matters as such.

And just as he thought, the moment Secretary Lim called Lisa, she started finding of what has been happening around Chaerin these days. She knew it was just an accident according to what the workers and servants in Jeon Manor said but that bothered her even more. According to them, Chaerin has been a bit exhausted lately and she did not have a good appetite too. She would usually come home past midnight and sleep without eating dinner.

So, she did a detailed investigation which ultimately ended up when she got to know about the failure of this big project handled by Lee Corps.

Within thirty minutes, Lisa managed to join all the dots and concluded the reason why the smart and cautious Madam Jeon would end up being so reckless.

"It's time that you should be more responsible," Jungkook said with an impassive tone.

Jin froze.
