Connection Without Words.

there was only 1 other customer, and they were sitting alone in a corner.

you walked straight up to the cashier person.

"hello! what would you like today?"

you pointed at what you wanted.

"wonderful! that will be 340 Lien."

you paid, and walked over to a table, sitting down and using the small spoon given to take a 'bite'

you swung your feet happy as your mouth was assaulted by the cold sweetness.

your tail was moving back and forth from side to side.

ah, if only Ruby was here to enjoy this delicacy with you.

you finished your ice cream, and left the parlour with a smile.

you saw a small child, a little girl around 5 years old, crying on the sidewalk.

you tilted your head to the side, walking over.

she looked at you when you kneeled down infront of her.

you smiled at her.

she cried harder.

you recoiled, worried greatly.

the child hugged you and continued crying.

'ah...what if someone thinks im a creep?' you thought. 'no, the child's safety matters more right now.'

you slightly hugged the child back.

once parted, you fluffed your tail infront of her. it seemed to calm her down.

"i-i lost papa..." she spoke once she was calm.

you nodded your head at her, grabbing a notepad and pen.

'i'll help you find him, okay?' you wrote.

"papa told me not to follow strangers."

you again, nodded your head.

'your papa is smart! but what i mean is i'll take you to the police station.'

she seemed relucent.

instead, you pulled your scroll out and dialled the number for the police.

you gave the scroll to the child when the call was answered.

the child read off your notepad down the phone to the police, and sat down next to the child.

she had told them your location, thanks to you knowing the street, and then hung up.

'did they say you could hang up?'

she nodded her head, and you gave her a thumbs up.

you waited for 5 minuets until 2 policemen came up.

the child went with the policeman, and you waved goodbye to her.

'i did a good thing and can't wait to tell Ruby. hopefully she'll give me a reward! i want some headpats or something...'

you continued your stroll through the city.

however, you stopped.

you felt someone staring into your back.

you know who it was.

"finally found you..." you heard, it seemingly being whispered from an alley right behind you.

when will he learn to just leave you alone?

you silently sighed and looked around. no one was around.
