I hear the door open and shut. "Sorry I'm back so late, we went out for a while." Gracie says walking into the bedroom. I tilt my head slightly and look at her confused. "Gracie you don't need to be sorry about coming home late, you're an adult, do whatever you want." I say gently. Gracie pauses what she's doing and climbs on top of me laying down. She gives me a hug.
"Are you sure don't want to know where I go?" She asks with her head resting on my chest. "I have your location remember? It's fine." I reply. I fall asleep with her in my arms.
5 days later 9am
ALARM GOES OFF
I hit my phone to turn off the annoying sound. I turn around gently to see Gracie cuddling in the blanket staring at me with her sleepy eyes. Cutest thing I've ever seen. "Good morning." I smile. "Morning." She says softly. I sit up then I feel someone drag me right back down. "Gracie sweetie it's time to get up." "Hug." She groans. "Fine." I say. She holds me in her arms. "Can't life be this easy?" She asks. "I wish." I reply.
Five minutes goes by and she fell back asleep. It's fine she's not opening tonight or anything, plus she's had a rough couple of weeks so may as well let her sleep. I get changed for the day, all of the cuts have mostly healed except for the deep ones on my back and my ribcage. I brush my teeth and hair ready for the day. I sit down for bit because I have no where to go at this time. I open instagram.
