*Hermione's POV*

I was wrapped in Blaise's arms and said,

"She is here. Fred's killer. I was so close to her."

Blaise just held me tighter and nodded. That was enough reassurance I needed. He turned to the boys and told them that it was time to go home.

By the time we got back to the house the Cullens and Bella were waiting for me on my porch. They stood there awkwardly. I couldn't help but giggle a little bit. I stepped from Blaise and opened the door. The boys headed in and made themselves at home. I looked behind my shoulder and said,

"You all are welcome. The boys with be on their best behavior. They know that this is a safe place and if they want to be fed, they will behave."

Edward giggled a little bit and came into the living room and sat down. I came in front of everyone and looked at them all. Everyone looked so uncomfortable with having the other group here too. I sighed and spoke up,

"If we are going to make this work where my cousin is safe, and Forks is protected we will have to work together. That means the treaty will have to be altered. I understand that it's important to respect the ancestors, but I think they will understand if we change things up."

"I agree with Hermione. We are here to make a better future. I mean it is about time we revise the treaty." Carlisle said.

I looked over to Sam and he was thinking it all over. I could figure it out since knowing Sam. He gave me a look and I nodded with a smile.

"Agreed. What do you have in mind?"

Everyone looked at me and I could not help but laugh at that.

"Why me?" I asked.

"Because without you we would have never thought about a truce or any of this alliance." Paul stated.

I sighed and said,

"Alright. So, first off you are going to allow each of the other group onto your land. It doesn't have to do with feeding or anything. But since Victoria likes to jump back and forth. This will give us the upper hand. Second, communication is important too. We all need to be on the same page including me and Blaise. So, talking about that there is something I need to share."

Blaise came back in with some tea. I smiled at him and thanked him. He made me my favorite. I was going to need it when I told them the next part. I took a deep breath and said,

"I know the red head from my past. I didn't know her name, but she was at war at Hogwarts. She was on the dark side. I had an encounter with a vampire. She was coming after me and someone I cared for. I was fighting with a Death Eater. He..."

I started to choke up. I looked over to Blaise. He gave me a hug and continued for me.

"Fred was fighting with another Death Eater, but he did not see her coming after him. She took him out and he died by a wall falling on him. He didn't make it. We all blame that vampire for his death. Hermione made a vow to be the one to kill her. It's personal..."

"It's not just personal. It hits home now. You don't go after my family and live to see another day." I said heatedly.

I got up and headed to the back yard. I did not know what else to say to anyone. I needed some air.

*Sam's POV*

We all watched Hermione get up and walk outside. We all could tell she was upset. Blaise sighed. Ember spoke up and asked,

"Is she alright?"

"No, Fred meant more to her than to us. I mean yes, he was family to the Weasley's, but he wasn't just family to Hermione. Fred was her fiancé. They were in love. She was in pieces when he died."

"Oh, poor Hermione. That got to be the hardest thing to ever go through." Esme said with surprise.

I did not know what to say. I could not believe she was engaged. I figured she had a boyfriend or something. I mean come on who wouldn't want to be with Hermione. I looked over to the back door and went to her.

I walked out and wrapped my arms around her. She jumped a little but calmed down when she saw it was me. She leaned into me and sighed.

"Blaise told you about my connection with Fred."

*Hermione's POV*

I was playing with my ring from Fred. I always wear it around my neck to be closer to him. He was my love and soulmate. Talking about him was hard. I miss him so much.

"Yes, are you alright?"

"I miss him, but I know that he is watching over me. I loved him and he loved me. We were soulmates but I know that he would want me to find love."

I wanted to open up to him. I wanted him to know that I was ready, but I just did not know how to say it. I was always bad at showing my feelings. Fred always said I was blind to love.

"I am sorry for your loss. I wish I could have got to know this Fred guy. He seems like a good person if he was able to keep up with you." Sam said,

I couldn't help but laugh at him. He knew what to say. I gave him a hug and just let him wrap his arms around me. I looked up at him and said,

"We probably should head inside. Everyone is probably waiting for us. I would hate to leave everyone in there alone for too long. Baby steps remember."

Sam laughed and agreed. We headed back in. There we found everyone still alive. They were all talking to each other and when we made a noise, they all turned to look at me. You could see the mixed feelings everyone was giving me.

"Alright I am alright. I am thankful that you all care. I loved him and still do. He is always watching over me. I know that." I explained.

The rest of the night went so much smoother. Everyone connected and we made some progress with the Victoria situation. We all agreed that I was going to help them with their defense skills magic, and no magic. Jasper was going to teach defensive strategies with new vampires in case we ever needed it.
