BREE

Familia Supra Omnia

I glared at the words that were deeply engraved on the center wall of the Manor.

They put it there to keep appearances and mock me.

Hypocrites.

"Why am I not surprised at all? That's the reason why you're not giving me names. Because they are family."

I froze in place and glanced to my right. There was bedlam in Lev's ocean-blue eyes as he glared at me.

"Or. He is." He said in a cold tone. One corner of his lips curled in a dangerous smile.

It's Ally! Despite of the darkness, kita ko ang makinang na sungay ng suot na maskara ng kapatid.

Bumukas-sumara ang bibig ko. I'm hyperventilating as I search for words. But I found none.

How the hell did he know?

He's got another thing coming. I may not have an army inside the Manor but outside... it's a different story, Bree. Every line of his body speaks rage as he gave me his signature wicked smile. "They have this saying in Filipino–'Papunta ka pa lang, pabalik na ko...Baby, I hate to say this pero iyong kalsadang dinaraanan mo ngayon, akong engineer n'yan."

"For a man who doesn't do emotions, masyado kang makata." Itinaas ko ang baba. "Drop it. Huwag kang mambintang.

He hummed but there was a visible tick on his jaw.

"It's funny how you assumed I'm stupid." Tinawid n'ya ang pagitan namin, grabbed me by the waist. I gasped. My front was pressed against Lev's muscular one, sending delicious shivers to my core.

"Let m-me go."

Up this close, he looked like Satan himself. Dressed in all black with a scary as shit masks covering his face.

I don't do emotions. But there's always an exemption. When it comes to you, Bree I'm fucking Einstein. I can read you. With eyes closed. In the dark. Especially in the dark. Quit lying. Lalo mo lang akong ginagalit."

A moan escaped my throat. Why do his vile words make my heart swell? Napalunok ako lihim na kinastigo ang sarili.

"Spoiler that's the plan. I don't need to resort into some shits and violence. Kaya kong gawin 'yon mag-isa. You and your paranoia."

The corner of his lips twitched.

"Sorry, wife. I'm healthy as a bull. Nasa drawer ko ang general check-up report from Jake. I can show you later." He said in that cool deep voice of his while his thumb is making circles on my hipbone. "Paranoid you said? It's my middle name, nakalimutan mo? Being suspicious is part of the business."

"Even on your wife?"

I think I'm having a coronary at the age of eighteen.
