The 42nd Street Subway Station in New York City, which is part of the 6th Avenue Route. The station is situated in Midtown Manhattan, on West 42nd Street, between Broadway and Avenue of the Americas. Near the turnstiles, where the #7 Flushing Line and the 6th Avenue Lines cross, there is a men's restroom. The restroom was seldom open and is meant to serve the needs of all men. I remember going to the restroom in the 1990s and witnessing several people standing around or using, while a chubby white man in a t-shirt sat on the toilet with his pants fully down in a stall with a low divider.
Over the years, the appearance of that has changed, two toilet stalls without doors and with low partitions, replaced by a large handicap booth.
