A rough crowd

It was an hour before the party and everyone was getting ready, showering, putting on their finest outfits and making sure they're well well-maintained and looked well-mannered for the party.

Lucifer was in his room putting on his finest suit and his iconic white top hat that helped him look taller, along with his tall shiny black boots, he combed his hair back before looking at his hands, he looked at his wedding ring... he knew that he and Lillith weren't the ones they used to be anymore but... sometimes he couldn't help but think about her every once in a while

Lucifer wondered if he should even wear the ring tonight... it's not like one night would hurt... Lucifer placed the ring on his nightstand before making sure his bowtie stood right before he happily left his room and used the Elevator to go down to the main lobby.

Alastor was fixing his hair, usually, it didn't look like a mess but it always was after washing himself in the shower, he glared at himself with annoyance as he looked at his mirror reflection, meanwhile, his shadow seemed to be laughing at him and making fun of Alastor's struggles

"Quit it..." Alastor said sharply to his shadow, Alastor got annoyed and just snapped his fingers so that his shadow creatures could do it for him. He removed his monocle and breathed out which made the glass of his monocle fog up and he rubbed the glass against his sleeve before putting his monocle back in place, he put on his best charming smile at the mirror as his hair was now fixed

Alastor sighed as he left his room and took the elevator down to the lobby, he was welcomed by a few guests who had arrived early and he also saw some of his fellow workers, Charlie who was greeting the guests, Vaggie standing beside her as always, Husk by the bar and angel dust sitting on the bar stool and talking or maybe flirting with Husk, Alastor walked around the crowd until he heard a familiar voice.

"Alastor!" Rosie said happily as she came over to him with her big toothy grin. "How lovely it is to be invited to such a party." She said as she looked around before looking back at Alastor.

"You're quite right Rosie, I'm quite fascinated that this many would come, and it's still early!" Alastor said with a chuckle before he noticed in the corner of his eye that a circle of demons were facing in and asking many questions, soon Alastor was able to hear some of the questions

"Lucifer where have you been these past years?"
       "Wow, you're a... short ruler unlike what my mother told me as a kid."
"Where is Lillith?"
         "Oh my stars, it is the king himself!"
"Do you work with your daughter now?"

Lucifer was a little overwhelmed by these questions until Alastor intervened. "Now now.. let's not stress out our dear lord of hell..." Alastor said with a chuckle as he pulled Lucifer out of the crowd and towards him and Rosie.

"My lord..." Alastor said with a sadistic grin before turning into a genuine smile "I would like for you to meet Rosie, my dear friend and the leader of Cannibal Town herself." Alastor said as he let Rosie and Lucifer greet each other.

"It is an honour to meet you, Your Majesty," Rosie said as she bowed while having her hands lift her dress a little.

Lucifer chuckled and nodded his head before speaking up "Lovely to meet you as well, Mademoiselle..." Lucifer said in his charming tone before taking Rosie's hand and kissing it

Alastor felt something weird at that moment but couldn't tell what it was as he shrugged it off and watched the two interact he noticed that a few demons were fascinated by the fact that the devil himself was there.

Rosie chuckled at Lucifer's gesture "Oh how polite! Your daughter takes after ya!... Alastor you really could learn a thing or two." Rosie said as she spoke up about it to Alastor.

"Now now Rosie... I'm just not finding many people like you these days... now, how about a drink to cherish this moment?" Alastor said as he looked at them both

Rosie noticed Carmilla "Well, I can come by later, I need a few words with Carmilla." She said before leaving the two alone

"Alright, come now my lord... I'm sure a few drinks could be good for you at this moment...~" Alastor said as he walked to the bar with Lucifer

Husk was making drinks and giving them to the guests as he glanced a few times at Angel Dust who was having fun... he wanted to be with Angel.. -

"Husker! Smile now dear, you know the guests won't be so pleased with a gloomy frown!~" Alastor said as he chuckled "I'll be nice... you've done a lot for me so go do your things... I'm sure my shadow boys can take it from here."

Husk genuinely smiled before leaving the bar to go be with Angel as Alastor snapped his fingers and his shadow clones started to make drinks instead, as Alastor toasted his glass of whiskey with Lucifer's glass of wine as they drank and talked... Time went by so fast that they had no idea how much they had drunk by now.
