Chapter 12

Oscar says, "you have already hurt my sister, Alpha." Carter sighs saying, "as much as you have lost years back, they have taken a lot from me including my mom and dad; you and Giana are my family." Oscar looks at the clock saying, "I should probably go and get the preparations done for Cameron's arrival." Meanwhile Isaac and Vanessa were in the kitchen arguing about the ice as Vanessa says, "look just calm down and take this." Carter gets up however feels a sharp pain in his arm saying, "ouch, my arm, what's going on?." Bryce speak to him saying, "it is our mate, she is injured." Carter has a worried look on his face as he immediately heads out to find Giana. Still on the mat Giana is holding her arm in pain just as Isaac rushes back over to her to see the redness growing as Vanessa asks, "oh my god, how did it get so much worse?." Giana replies, "Selene decided to stop by and antagonise me." Isaac says, "I knew we should not have left you by yourself." Vanessa says, "I have already summoned Dr Clark who says he is on his way." Isaac puts the ice on Giana who winces just as Carter arrives saying, "get away from her." Isaac lets go as Carter bends down saying, "I will take care of things here, you have already done enough for today." Giana looks at Carter with a firm look saying, "why are you blaming Isaac? It was not his fault, the person responsible for my state is Selene." Carter looks at Giana saying, "really? Selene is on patrol duty, right now... it's not good to start accusing and there's no way she would have hurt you so badly." Giana rolls her eyes saying angrily, "ugh you know what? I knew you would not believe me Carter; I lied and made it up!." Giana turns to Isaac asking, "can you help me up?." Isaac nods replying, "of course Gigi, Alpha I think it is better if I take her to-." Carter became defensive saying, "Isaac, just leave it." Carter slowly lifts Giana into his arms saying, "come on, let's go." Isaac felt irritated saying, "what a jerk." 

Vanessa says, "well, that was something just then... my phone is there." Vanessa grabs her phone to see that it is still on recording as she says, "Isaac look at this." They both watch the video which shows Selene hurting Giana; back in her room Giana was sitting on the sofa trying to minimise the pain from her arm as Carter comes over with a glass of water asking, "what were you trying to do, Giana? what were you thinking? we already practised and trained earlier, were you deliberately trying to hurt yourself?." Giana said coldly, "I am ok, Alpha Carter no need to get so tensed, you should that Wolfbloods get injured in training all the time." Carter looked at her saying, "alright, but you are not just some ordinary Wolfblood, Gia and please don't call me like that." Giana looked at him saying, "don't call you like what? Alpha Carter?." Carter said, "it's Carter, it always has been to you." Giana said, "yeah but you are nothing more than my Alpha right?." Carter pulls her closer gently saying, "I have kept you safe since we were kids, and you should know that I am much more to you than an Alpha." He takes her arm softly as Giana winces asking, "ouch, what are you trying to do? hurt me more?." Carter replies, "no, our mate bond should help your wound heal faster, if touch you." Giana closes her eyes as she feels a surge of power from Carter's touch which heals the bruise and swelling from her arm. Carter says, "the pain should be eased now." 

Giana looks at Carter with a thoughtful expression as she slowly takes her arm away with Carter staring at her intensely. Carter asks, "is it ok if I tell you something, Gia?." Giana looks at Carter replying, "sure what is it, Carter?." Carter says, "I hate the way he touches you, Giana." Giana asks, "who are you talking about? Isaac? why do you care about that? it should not make a difference to you." Carter says, "I know it should not, but it does." Giana feels herself slowly moving closer to Carter to kiss him as he doesn't pull back however they are soon interrupted by Doctor Clarke who says, "is it ok if I examine Giana's injury?." Giana moves away from Carter who gets up whilst Doctor Clarke comes over saying, "Vanessa informed me that you had injured your arm, can you tell me what happened?." Giana replies, "it was just a training accident, Doctor." Doctor Clarke examines Giana's arm saying, "would you mind raising your arm up for me?." Giana nods as she does as he said and says, "I don't feel any pain." Carter says surprised, "our mate bond could not have healed that quickly, Doctor."
